I've noticed that it's mostly Christians defending this question. I said "Religious People" not Christians. LOL. You Christians obviously have a guilty conscience.

All one has to do, is read one of the popular 'holy' books to see the vast amount of hypocrisy already within them! Therefore, it goes without saying that the followers of those religions would have the same attitude as the books they get their 'beliefs' from. It seems to be an inherent part of nearly every religion.
Their need to 'force' it down others throats, comes from a deep rooted human fault - the desire to feel superior to others.

:)

Most people who feel there is being a "forced feeding" are under conviction from the Holy Spirit - most people who find Christians to be hypocrites are seeing reflections of their own short-comings and realizing that all of mankind falls short of the glory of God - regardless of redemption and is under conviction - most "Christians" who are abusive, inconsiderate, or lacking in compassion, are in need of rebalancing their relationship with Christ and are backsliden and therefore lash out because of their own sinful condition - none of us are perfect in this flesh - just some are under conviction to be saved by the free grace God is offering, some have been saved, but for whatever reason are not living in accordance with their salvation, and some strive each day to live within that relationship. So if you are feeling an overwhelming amount of pressure you might find that it's really you who are struggling and not the one whom you perceive to "be in your business".

For a religious person to NOT be a hypocrite, this person would have to be perfect. Since there's no such thing as a perfect person, everyone who has religious morals is a hypocrite. They all sin, but all seek redemption.

People who aren't hypocrites sadly have no moral standards.

Your right. I think we should feed the Christians to the lions. Make it a pay per view event at Madison Square Garden!

Religious people aren't that much different that non-religious ones. There are hypocrites on both sides, not just on the religious side. But not all religious people are hypocrites, just as not all non-religious people are hypocrites.

I am a Christian but I absolutely agree with you that no one should push their beliefs on others. I believe a true Christian should never judge others, and should treat EVERYONE how he or she would wish to be treated. To me that means acceptance and open-mindedness towards all people and their lifestyles and beliefs.

a so called christian who force feeds his religion on someone is not really a christian. the bible says that we are supposed to plant the seed, and let God do the rest. that does not mean that someone should force their religion on someone.

If you had to consult your imaginary friend before every major decision in your life, you'd be a hypocrite too.

Yep, that's right. If you don't like the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Or delete your question when you find that you're wrong. Either one is perfectly suiting.
