What exactly would knowing whether Jesus was black or white change? It would not change the fact that he came and took all of our sins to the cross so we wouldn't have to. Why don't we worry more about those that do not yet have a relationship with him then what color Jesus' skin is.

Jesus was certainly Jewish. He probably looked very much like all the other Jewish guys around at the time. We don't know much about what Jesus looked like from the Bible. However, we do know from Isaiah 53:2 that "He has no form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him".

So based purely on looks... Jesus was an "Average Joe". Of course, His identity is a whole other story!

If the president of USA is my relative, i feel an extra closeness with him. Yes.. its same with God. People feel much closer to Him when they perceive Him to be one among them. So Jesus becomes a White for a White person; Asiatic for a Asian, black for an african, etc. But the truth is Jesus is Jewish and can't be black rather asiatic in complextion.

I agree...he was from the middle-eastern area, so it makes sense. I've never thought of Jesus as being the blond haired man we always see. I watched a show where they created a face based on a skull that was found and dated to time Jesus lived. It looked nothing like the pictures people create.

Depending on what the people from the region he lived in consider themselves, he could have been considered black or Arabic (most likely arabic) but certainly not white contrary to common belief.

Jesus being portraid as white is based on european Christians interpritation on Jesus.

I happen to agree. Blonde ,blue eyed people did not live in that part of the world, and I can't say where in the Bible, but it describes Jesus saying he had hair like wool. The Jesus I picture in my head is defiantly black, and yes, I myself am white.

Jesus was not white(fair skinned) to begin with he was dark skinned most likely due to the area. and hair of wool as said in the bible. thus could mean jewish . I am a christian I read the bible but you must remember god is a part of all of us so wont we be suprised when he is black with blonde hair and green eyes. My point is does it matter he is! 2+2 is four no matter what color it is

I think you are wrong. Its my guess that you don't study; read; or rightly divide the Word of God.
If you did, you would have found out that Jesus Christ is descended from the eighth day created man known as Ha-Adam. This is interpreted in the Hebrew as; ruddy complected, or able to be red in the face.
I know you would have found this out eventually, but now you have it for reference.
Thanks for the good question, lets hear more from you soon.

I imagine He has the ability to appear as he wishes at any given moment. Heck, if Michael Jackson can be born black and change to white, changing colors ought to be a cinch for someone of the Christ's caliber.

I think this has been asked at least two dozen times a day since Yahoo Answers started. What's wrong with looking around and seeing the hundreds and hundreds or answers already out there for this question...the dude was Middle Eastern, period, that is that. Just because you want him either blackest black or whitest white does not change the fact that He most likely looked like the people who are....ummm...still living there!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
