I get laughed at and made fun of alot because I choose to dress a little different than the crowd. No jeans and tshirts for me- too boring. I have experienced many things in my life that lets me know that when it comes down to it I have many associates but no real friends. I never did when I dressed in jeans and tshirts either so it just seems to be my life's path. I have come to the point that I really don't care if the illegal alien on the bus makes fun of me, or the obese woman laughs at my tights, etc. None of these people are going to be there for me if I need them, so why shoudl I care? I dress appropriatly for work and stuff, but on my free time I like to wear what I want. I'm 40 but who cares, I am alone in my life, so I don't have to follow anyone's dresscode.

Yes and no. For me, it all depends on what they are making fun of me for...and it also depends on if I know the person well enough or not. If I don't know them at all then I don't care. Let them think whatever. But if one of my friends was talking about me like that I'd be hurt and definitely would care.

yes, I care if someone laughs or makes fun of me, I always feel a little smaller when they do that, but it never stopped me from dressing the way I want. I know I am unique (just like everyone else is) and I like to show that in the way I dress. Nomatter how small they make me feel, I know I am more than them because I dare to dress differently.

I am confident enough in my skills and comfortable enough in my tastes in clothing that I don't need constant approval. But at the same time, I have to admit I don't like being laughed at or ridiculed, even if I think the person doing it is flat-out wrong, even if I don't care what that person thinks. It just has some effect in making me self-conscious when I'd rather not be.

Hey, I've been scoffed at and virbally abused my whole life, and at this point, I don't REALLY CARE what people say. Consider this: a guy walks up to a beautiful woman, and says, "this woman is so ugly, she looks like ****". Even though he said that, she's still just as beautiful. Insults and dirty looks and the like are meaningless. Don't let them get to you. Are you a goth, cause I'll tell you, you sure sound like one. I simpithize.

It doesn't matter if anyone laughs a me. I know there is some else being saved the harassment of an idiot, whose ideas are not like my own. I quit looking for acceptance when my parents died. I am my own person, and at times my worst enemy.

no i dont really care what ppl say about me. i found out the hard way, no matter who you are, or what you do, or have ppl are always gonna have something to say whether its good or bad. you have to have self worth, know who u are and what you represent. if u are fearless, ppl will notice and there is nothing anyone can do or say to you. be proud of who u are and live your best life.

and when all else fails, tell them to go F*ck off. lol

It doesn't matter, as long as your dress is modest. However, if you try to dress as a teenager or a girl, you probably look ridiculous and can only expect people to laugh at you.

They are just "Go with the flow" brain dead Idiots anyways. Be Yourself.

I encourage people to laugh at me. I own a tshirt that says "have you seen this man?", but it's my picture on the shirt.

Only when it's someone that I really respect, but that's never occured because they're respectable, others I wouldn't care because I've got a lack of respect for them.
