Because people are scared of the unknown.
I have actually seen one materialize standing in the doorway of my bedroom. I was not drinking, on drugs ect...
If you think about it, haven't you ever had the feeling that you were not alone. A sensation that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up? It is very hard for them to cross into our universe, but does occasionally happen. That is why scientists and such are are trying to study and do experiments with Electronic voice recordings. do you think that throughout history that there would have been such an inexhaustable search for Ghosts, if there hadn't been some prompting. They are there, but are one of the unexplainables just like UFO'S and Crop Circles.

Ghosts don't exist. The reason that we are scared of them is because we as a society are taught to be afraid things that are different or that we can't readily explain away. The times that we think ghosts are around are just pieces of ourselves that are trying to come out.

I've never seen a ghost, personally. I don't understand why people are so scared of them. I'd be more afraid of a guy with a gun than a ghost!!!

No, ghosts do not exist. But people are afraid because they believe that ghosts DO exist. They are also afraid, with good reason, because demons like to impersonate dead people. They do a fairly good job of it.

Yes, they do... but science are still exploring the world of paranormal. Why are we scared? first of all, because ghosts are not human, and beyond normal. Second, its the stereotype of how we see ghosts in the movies.

The dead can't bother you, it's the living you need to worry about.

Well they really do exist.If you have ever heard the story which happened in Kuwait,which is till now.If any one sleeps in it,the ghosts will take you and your luggage and throw it outside.It is real believe it or not.

peopel are scared of ghosts because of superstitious nonsense. christians think that humans are evil so they also think dead human spirits are evil. I beleive humans are neither good nor evil its just that quite a few humans show thier evil side more than their good.
