depending on their age....set rules...and stick with them...they hate having rules...i tell them ...if you want to do what you want when you want..then move out...and guess what...after a few years of making it really difficult for them....both my daughters just moved out 1 month ago....lmao ...this is sooooo cool...and funny...now they complain about their friends coming over and making a mess right after they cleaned house, friends eating all their food, noisy neighbors and such....now they know why i had rules...and now they have told their friends...guess what....clean up after yourself....dont leave trash on the table...etc...lmao ...and i am loving it!!!!

depends on how old they are. Assuming they are over 18, ask them what their plans are, what are the housing and job opportunities available. If they are working and just using you for supplementation of income, present them with a 30 day objective--that is, in 30 days they need a new place to call their own, and they have 30 days to get it set up. On the 31st day, they are out and can come back for xmas and thanksgiving. maybe

You know I guess I am different than a lot of parents are by far.I never did want my kids to leave home. They could have lived with me forever if they wanted to, I had very good kids, and loved them alot and still do for that part. Mine all left after they were in their early 20's

Kick them out. Give them a date they have to be out and when that day comes change the locks. Or go to court and have them evicted legally. If your grown children don't like it too bad. If we are talking about young children you are stuck until they are at least 18.

I'm assuming they're old enough, like 18 or so? ;-) Help them find employment so they can pay for an apartment on their own while they go to college. Or if they really can't find a job or if they are doing/have done excellent in school AND if you can afford it, pay for their apartment while they're at school.

NOW... if they're DONE with college and still residing with you... make them pick-up some household chores to help out... make sure they get a job and help you out with the bills and groceries until they find a place of their own.

In the end, I wish I still lived with my mother (I'm 22) and she still wishes I lived with her! So hey, while they're still living with you, try to find the positives as well.

Open the door, push them out?

Sorry.... Well, if they are 18, tell them they need to get out on their own, that they have lived there for 18+ years, it's time for them to do it. Give them pointers on finding a place, for example, pick up an apartment finder and hand it to them. If they don't have jobs, next time you go get fast food, ask for an application, and hand it to them. Or take them to the recruiting station and sign them off for the military. Take them to your local church or singles group and marry them off. Something.

But TELL them, they need to leave now. Make them feel unwelcome in your home.

If they are grown and have been out of high school for a while, just tell them that they need to start preparing themselves to be independent, because you're planning on moving and they can't come with you. Keep telling them that they need to start looking for their own place.

In your case, open your single-wide trailer door(of course you don't have a storm door, the kids tore it off),and tell them to exit, and don't let the door hit them in the asss on their way out!

Make them pay rent. Make them pay some of the bills. Make them buy their own groceries and cook their own food. And do their own laundry.

no one can answer this without specifics. I mean, by what you asked, we could say set the house on fire.
