This happens all the time - your remote may be too old and not have the codes for a new DVD player. It seems like, whenever you get a new device, you need to get a new remote!

Try going here: http://www.oneforall.com and search for a remote that will work with all of your devices. I have a 6012, you may need one in the 8000 series for a combo player.

If the remote works on any other device there is nothing wrong with it . If it doesn't have the make and model in the codes guide then contact the remote manufacturer on-line and they might be able to help you .

If you have read the instructions carefully, and know that you have installed fresh batteries in it, it coulve very well be defective. There may be an outside chance that your dvd player is NOt compatible with this remote. Again read the instruction book again, to double check.
