You see,..this is the reason why I think determining virginity through the presence of bleeding (first intercourse) or presence of hymen is overrated. The hymen of a girl or a woman is sometimes broken, because of an accident that occured...for example girl landed somewhere with her legs open....this happened to me when I tried to jump over a child's gate...I was in pain down there for two weeks...this must have been also when most of "it" ripped.....a bit bleeding was presence after my first intercourse, but not much- minimal. Too much information?...I agree...but this is for you to understand that I think yes!...a girl is still a girl even without hymen. ..a girl is considered a young woman after she has her first period in my country. Then again...different country...different terms.

Actually, the theory that a girl maintains her hymen into womanhood is mostly a myth. These days, with girls being active in sports and not to mention gynecological visits, most girls have little to no hymen left by the time they are 13.

Just because a girl does not have a hymen does not mean she is having sex that can rip by ridinng a horse or even by just inserting a tampon. AS long as she has her period she should be considered a young lady/woman because that is the big change in life well before menopause.

If you mean, "Is she still a virgin", she could be, yes. Some girls don't have much of a hymen to begin with, and for others it breaks with vigorous activity such as horseback riding. Lack of a hymen is not an accurate indicator of virginity.

Your hymen is what your virginity is all about. It doesn't make you either a girl or a woman. Your age and maturity will tell you that.

The hymen can be ruptured during strenuous physical activity, and not always by intercourse. If this gal has NEVER had sex, then she is a virgin, and can still be called a girl, in your words.

I don't think any of your examples provide enough evidence to decide. If she is 12, then she is a girl. If she is 30, then she is a woman. What does the rest of it have to with anything? She's female no matter what.

That is totally irrelevant. The fact of being a girl or a woman has nothing to do with a piece of flesh.

A girl.

What? The question makes no sense.

Many women's hymen is broken before sex, and certainly before marriage.
