I had the same problem darling and then i discovered GHD's, they make your hair look simply stunning! They have come down alot in price since i bought mine but well worth it.
Also you mention your hair is quite frizzy and prone to it, so i guessing its quite thick hair too, the best trick too make your all your hair nice and lovely is section off your hair bit by bit with random clips e.g start at bottem of hair and straighten then move up section by section until you reach your roots. I would recommend using a good shampoo and conditioner aswel for your blonde hair to protect it :) like the toni and guy products abit pricey but again you want to fabulous, dont you!
Oh and there are GHD products that accompy their straightens..

Hi i find the best straighteners to use are Kodo, but i bought some Vidal Sassoon ones and they worked just as good and they were half the price but you have to get the black ones with the shiny black plates in the Vidal Sassoon as i bought another pair of Vidal Sassoon ones and they didn't work the same. The best ones are kodo creative they are 210 Oc and work great on my hair as no other straighteners work coz they aren't hot enough. I was reading on one of the top hair dressers sights that you can use hair serum as it work temporarily to keep hair straight but wrecks your hair in the end. I have tried this and my hair did get really dry and brittle. So now i use a leave in conditioner and a heat protection spray. I also use a leave in protection spray that i can spray on dry hair to protect it whilst i straighten it. Hope this helped.

Definately GHD straighteners - you get what you pay for they cost approx. £95 in Britain although you can get them a bit cheaper on ebay. I wouldn't waste my money on anything else. I have really thick long hair and I can straighten my hair in approx. 10 mins - which I think is really good - it used to take me a good hour using other straighteners and didn't get a great result.

All the good straightners out there cost around $100. Mine works extrememly well and it cost $125. Don't buy any $20 ones!!! Mine broke 2 days later. They are really cheap!!!!!

GHDs are by far the best, especially for thick hair, otherwise you'll be there for hours. Expensive, but well worth the money!

GHD are generally considered best.

However, I use Remington Wet 2 Straight and they are good on my thick hair (though I find them better on dry hair, rather than wet)

there is a hair care company called cricket. there is a hair straightner from cricket that my curly haired older sister uses and it works really well, the straightner has ceramic plates, just don't burn yourself with it!
