Age does matter. In every way possible and in every relationship. From mother and child, husband and wife, and brother and sister. If your spouse is a lot older than you or a lot younger than you than there will be differences physically, emotionally, and mentally.
However.. do not confuse this with problems. Difference in age does matter but it is certainly not wrong. It could matter in a good way, or a bad way. If you love each other and get along perfectly fine, why not? Work the magic!
You want what's best for you, and so does your family. If they don't see age as a problem than that's great. But if they do... People will always have difference in opinions. You cannot teach an old dog new tricks. In this case, the old dog is your families.
At this point, the only thing that really does matter is: Are you willing to adapt to their beliefs? Or do you think they're the type to adapt to yours? Which ever one you decide, you must first ask yourself... will it be well worth it?

It matters to the extent of the things you will have in common with each other. Everyone - to varying degrees - is going to be shaped as an individual by their experiences throughout their lives. And if two people lived their lives in different generations (i.e the 70s and the 90s), their experiences will be different, and as a result, their perspectives on life may be a lot different. However if two people both grew up in say the 80s, they will likely have more shared experiences, and as a result, more things in common with each other.
I know this sounds pretty generalized, but I've found a lot of these things to work that way irl.

I'm going to go against the grain and say, yes, it matters.
Adults should stay away from children. Children simply haven't developed the judgement to know if they are being taken advantage of. Many evil adults know this.
Generally, though, if there is a wide age difference (even between adults) you are simply at different stages of your life, with different goals and priorities.
For example, someone in their early 20's and someone in their mid-fifties. The younger person may be thinking about having a child, whereas that is probably the last thing the older person wants. The younger person may want to get out and party, while the the older person may want to relax at home.
Just too many differences.
I know there are instances where people are able to work them out, but I think they usually don't.

Yes age matters if one of you is underage. People say "age aint nothing but a number" however age means more than that. You have to ask yourself why would a fully grown adult be with a child. If however you are both of legal age go for it just go into any relationship with eyes wide open.

I dont think age matters, the only thing that matters is that you are happy and in love, and the other person in the relationship respects you for who you are.

example. If one is 20 and the other is 45 now,it might not seem to much different,in 25 years one would be 40 and the other will be 65 years old, what do you think, then 50.......75..and goes on.

Yes age does matter, because if you are a Miner, and he is over 20, he could be incarcerated, and if you really love him you don't want that to happen. other than that age should not matter.

I guess in some cases it's ok and in others it can be a problem. But when it's a case of someone being under age it's a problem because I think it's more lust then love

Yes, it does matter. Ignore the people saying 'no' because they obviously have no experience with it.
Age is always an issue in a relationship when the gap is large.

Age only matters to you, unless it is illegal lol. But what other people think as long as its within legal bounderies is just there opinion and shouldn't matter if you really have feeling for each other
