I was diagnosed with hypothyroid disease about a year ago. I haven't been taking care of it like I should. I've noticed for the past 4 months that when my period starts I am shaky and weak. The doctor thought this may be due to anxiety and put me on a med for it, but the "episodes" only seem to happen when I'm on my period. I know I need to take care of my thyroid, and I'm going to have the level checked next week but I just need some piece of mind because I feel not like myself and a little frightened.

Good luck with that. It that might be hormonal related and from your body going through that cycle. To be sure make sure you ask another doctor or tell your doc that you've been noticing it for the past 4 months.

If you have access to a blood glucose test meter , check your blood sugar when you feel that way . Also get your thyroid checked .
