My cat had 4 kttens and they are 3 weeks old. 1 of them has puss and "sand" in her eyes. Im really worried. She is acting like the other kittens but the stuff in her eyes seem to worry me. Is this just a sign of when there eyes are getting open? There eyes are all opened but hers are the smallest.

I would contact a vet if the pus continues. The fact that she's behaving normally is good, but pus in the eyes is not. You may want to take a lukewarm washcloth and very gently dab at her eyes. Very careful - don't try to pry her eyelids open! :)

It sounds to me as though the kitten with the bad eye either has been inadvertently scratched on the pupil or retina, or perhaps an infection is present. Take it to a vet and have the vet peform a very simple test using a green dye, which allows them to see if the eye has been scratched. The puss and such will clear up with some antibiotic eye drops that will likely be prescribed for the kitten.

Could be an eye infection, a sign of Upper Respiratory infection, and cats get chlamydia too. All of which are contagious, go to vet and get meds for the infected ones and ask about preventative meds for the others not showing signs yet.

Go to the vet- sounds like she has conjuctiveitis(sorry sp?) our kitty had this too. The vet gave us a prescription antibiotic cream for her eyes and it cleared up after a while but still use it for the full term. Good luck little kitty.

Eye puss can be a symptom of something bigger. Take her to a vet!! In fact, take them all just to get a check-up.
