That is very true. You can not change the religion by saying it is bad. You can point a finger at an individual and say that he is bad. If that individual claims he is a Christian and you point the finger at his religion, you are saying that all Christians are bad.
I have heard people say this about others as well. Many people believe that the Muslims are bad because of the actions of a few bad men, but they are ill informed.
Many people think that Catholics are bad because of some priests who made poor choices, but they are ill informed.
Many People believe that Jews are bad because they believe in the Torah and not the Bible, but they are ill informed.
This does not mean that the religion is bad. It means that the person pointing the finger and saying it is so, is believing what he hears and not what he has himself learned.

If anybody said, "you ,made it bad". I disagree. It is only a few terrorists who made it bad. They are just distorting a good religion for their selfish purposes.
When these terrorists take shelter under the religion to justify the hideous acts that they do, believers of other religions are thinking that the religion itself is bad.
But if the other normal people from that religion (under question) come out and condemn it, wholeheartedly, that will go a long way in alleviating the confusion or impression among the others (those of other religions) that this religion is promoting violence, even though it is not.

I'm sorry to say this, but your comments make you seem stupid. I mean even the Athiests know of the horrible things the Church did. It was not the religion that did those horrible things, but the people who ran it.
Oh and don't forget some of the people in here. Some of the people in here give thier religion or non religion a bad name. Again it's not the religion, but the people in it.
See the truth is religion is both good and bad. It causes some people to be good that wouldn't without it. And it teaches some to be bad that should be good.
In other words it teaches good morals, but it causes more diversity.

How lovely to be insulted so early in the day. Some religions are founded by Jesus (actually I only know of one, the Catholics). Most are founded by men, maybe good men, maybe not, but men nonetheless. Men have flaws. Men can fall to temptation. If not the men founding the religion than those left in charge of it and carry it on. This, naturally, includes the Catholic church. Since men can make mistakes and screw up, they CAN and DO make some religions bad or at least not as good as it started. A person doesn't have to be bad him/herself to do this. Therefore, it appears that you seem stupid rather than those who were able to see the obvious and answer the question as you say they did.

Here are the definitions of "religion":
1. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
2. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
2. The life or condition of a person in a religious order.
3. A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
4. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.
#1 and #2 are the only definitions that makes any sense. Unfortunately, too many people are building their religion on the other definitions.

when people start going into the religion talk- then thats when people get seperated. I believe in God and I believe Jesus died for my sins. I am a Christian- but I don't think thats bad. Other people believe different things- and they are commited to that. I don't really care what other people believe because that's between them and God- or whoever's their leader. I'm only worried about my relationship to God- and that's the way it should be. I dont want to press my religion on others- just like I dont want others to press their religion on me. But if someone gets in my face about my beliefs, of course I am going to defend mine!

WE seem stupid?? Are you kidding me? But, yet, you people dont waste any time wanting to come over here and live in our Country, though, do you...
Let me just say, Yes there are quite a few religions, BUT, there is only one GOD, so, lets put the focus on that fact, and forget trying to argue about diff religions. We are one nation, under GOD, indivisible, with liberty & justice for all!
All you Americans, say "I"!

if you think others are stupid, you are living in a fool's paradise! bad people in every religion give same reference to that religion. look at muslims, because almost all the terrorists are muslims, people in the world shudder at the very mention!
generally, hindu, christian, jain , buddhism, are docile. sikhs are also warriors, but they fight for their own cause. being religious is one thing, but being a fanatic is harmful to the society, and other sections of the world, and my dear friend, sad but true, muslims are considered fanatics!

O.K. so you are not into Journalism. I can clearly see that. I can also see why you would think everyone is stupid. You don't have to apologize. It would seem your problem is genetic. No doubt , you are from Middle East. Clearly a product of your environment.
