That is interesting isn't it? For many years I was non religious. My best friend's parents were very active in their church(Baptist)
They used to always talk to me about religion. Then one day I had a revelation and decided to join the Catholic Church.Do you know what my friends parents did??Pursed their lips, shook their heads, said that was too bad,and that they would pray for me. All because I became Catholic. As I've said before. My religion is the best...for me.That doesn't mean it's the best for everyone. We all are trying to get to the same place. Peace people....

It's a simple matter really. All the (Major) Religions of the world teach that theirs is the one, true and only path. All non believers are heretics or heathens.

The fact of the matter is that religion is a construct of man, and therefor, fallible. No man is perfect. The bible was written by Men, as was the Torah, and any other "Holy" writing. Not one of these documents is 100% correct or true.

The Christian Bible was "Inspired" or "Commanded" by God, so they say, but it was still the corruptible hand of man that did the writing.

True faith, and the path to salvation, or whatever afterlife you believe in, comes from within. No book or person can tell you what is right, because it's different for each person.

well, people love to be right. no matter what they're being right about. it could be who won the world cup last year. i was convinced for some reason that it was germany. i thought i was right. my dad said i was crazy, we watched the damn game together. he had to show me on fifa's website before i would admit that i was wrong.

religion though doesn't have a website where i can go and prove who won the religion war.

people also like to think that they're special, that only they have the "correct" interpretation. that they belong to some vip exclusive club where they're the only ones headed up to heaven.

Because it is fulfilling their "need" so beautifully that they want everyone to experience it. The fact is, there's a lot of different needs out there, thus so many different religions to fill them. Or, some of us just figure out our own truths from the potpourri set before us and we are just as "right" about it. For me though, all the others arent wrong. They're just not right for me.

It's ok to question it all........at least you are seeking.

It is the trick of the mind...it tells us always we are right

and not only religions but every where it is applied !!

Atheists too think they are right and all others are wrong

The reason behind this is that we are all spark of the divine...and we have in us the feeling of being the greatest...because the Universal Intelligence (i m not calling him god not to offend atheists) is in fact greatest..because there is nothing more than him/it

Our mind grasping that tiny spark of greatest, translates wrongly for us...making us think..we are right

This is a manufacturing defect :))

There are two types of people:

Those that want to be right.
Those that want to do right.

Those running around spouting off 'truths' about their religion are in the top category. Those who try and help others simply because it needs to be done are in the second.

They have to. It's in the religion rule book. In order to be true to your religion of choice, you must damn all others to hell and think they are wrong. Oh, and you have to try and convert them. If that doesn't work, pray for them. If you can't be successful at this, you must kill them.
Re-read your rule book. I think it's someplace around page 13.

Forget religion.

Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
