In John 2 v13-17. It says that Jesus found in the temple people selling things. That he made a scourge of small cords and drove the people and animals out. If getting mad is a sin. Then wouldn't you think that Jesus got mad too? That Jesus himself committed a sin?

The Bible tells us that Jesus did act on his "anger". He truned over the money changers tables, he ran the people out and the animals out also. Bocco_man, no one can make us angry, we choose to laugh or to get angry? So then jesus "chose" to get angry, he chose to (pitch a fit) run the money changers out of the temple, with a weapon.

IMO there is no such thing as sin.For anyone, but if u believe such horse manure then yea jesus sinned he got mad and probably did a lot more than that man made book says he did.You got to know the Bible would sugar coat it to his favor. But he had sex probably with women and men he did all of the human desires that everyone else does.If he was here at all he had to be like us he got mad,sad happy drank a little who knows he might have even smoked some.So get real people God is not, nor ever will be, a man.

I sure hope not!!

Anger, like any other emotion is simply energy. Often it's a reaction. What we do with that energy can be a sin. In your example, yes, Jesus was angry- for good reason. He took the time to sit down think about it, and figure out an effective way to handle the anger, solve the problem.

Another example- Angry at a spouse who cheated on you... nothing wrong with being angry- the spouse broke a promise.

Beating a pillow b/c of it, again, nothing wrong- no blood, no foul.

Beating/killing the cheating spouse- um, yeah, there's a problem. shoulda taken the SOB/B to divorce court, instead.

You my friend are ignorant and incapable of understanding what it is you have just read. For example the word (mad) means insane. I think, but do not know for sure, you meant angry. That is why it is important to choose the correct word and spelling when we are attempting to communicate. Words really mean things. It is not just spelling! The next time do more research. Anger is not a sin it is how we react to that anger that is the sin. By the way no one can make you angry! It is your choice to laugh or to get angry.

Jesus has righteous indignation, and we should too. When we see people deliberately using God for their own profit, we are to act the same way that Jesus did and expose them.

This is why I have so much animosity at the modern day money changers in God's temple. 90% of God's people are caught up in their money making ministries and call it 'church'. It really irks me.

We are supposed to be studying God's Word, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, not running out to buy the latest "Christian" book or attend the latest circus act by so called Christian speakers who do nothing more than give a feel good psychology pep talk or fake healing show at the local concert arena.

The bible tells us to hate that which is evil.

Hatred therefore is only righeous if accompanied by appropriate judgement of what is and is not evil. Fortunately, we are not supposed to judge people, and should therefore not hate them, either. Hating an activity, however, does not require that we judge a person- only that we understand the law.

I suppose then that Jesus was justified in his anger, and was not commiting a sin.

Curse God! Curse him and his foolish laws! Jesus had the right idea- get rid of that old stupid law and just love each other. Sure, Jesus was kinda a hippie, but a cool guy in most cases.

No, Jesus is not expressing Human anger here, He is expressing a justified indignation at the desecration of His Fathers Temple. God IS Love so it's against His nature to be angry. Jesus was True God and True man. He could not sin because being one with the Father He too is Love.

anger=normal, irrational anger= deeper issues. the Bible says, be slow to anger.

Jesus, though ever so loving, was not a pushover. He respected and protected His fathers Temple, using His physical strength, however NEVER did He inflict physically on anyone. I thought He handled the situation perfectly.

in addition to your addition.... ok, and your point is?
it seems youre not understanding the answers here, anger is not a sin,

**********ANY father raising his voice and adimantly defending his family (with a whip!?) from a robber that breaks in to his house, and threatens, is NOT a sin .

kicking the cat, because youre angry about work , now there in lies the sin.

No, it's only bad if you act on it:
Anger is a human emotion, it's something that naturally happens. It's not a sin to get upset or angry over something. If your anger leads you to cussing, or doing things you shouldn't, then it's a sin.

No. It's often shown in the New Testament that Jesus showed human emotions just like you and I; in fact he was like you and I except without sin. His actions were justified as he was the creator and this was his temple that people were sinning in.
