Because it gives you time to think..
Especially when your coming off of a bad relationship, you can sit down and review it from beginning to end. What attracted you to the person in the first place? What did you like or dislike about the person? What character traits came out during the relationship that you realised you just didnt like?
Each relationship is a learning experience. Each pause between them, gives you an opportunity to decide what your really looking for and what your not looking for in a lover.

Things are not the same as they used to be.People have a whole different set of morals.Its not wrong to keep looking,but until you find the real thing,don't settle for anything less than what you really want. Life is too short to be miserable or fighting all the time. It is better to be alone by choice than to have someone make you feel alone.You can survive on your own.

In my opinion, sometimes it's best to be single due to you can do whatever you want to without worrying your partner's reaction. For example, doing your own hair style, go and watch your favorite movies and most important you get to hang out with your friends.

When you are single you aren't worrying about what that guy is doing behind your back. A guy can really ruin your life, trust me, I've been there. He put me through hell and back. I swear I don't ever want that to happen to me and the kids again, so I'm putting off dating for a long time.

The best reason I can think of to be single is that you are not ready to settle down and to commit to just one person.

being single helps you soul search yourself. u first have to know YOU, and what YOU want, and establish what YOU want in life. then you can find better people that fit YOU. sometimes as people we tend to settle for others, but why? u have to be head strong and being single helps you re-evaluate yourself as well as others around you. so you can be the best you, you know how to be.

Being single just simplifies life.......I get sex (safe sex) on a regular basis, which I need and want. I personally think it's the way to go. Men and women just aren't meant to be monogomous. Too much temptation out there.

cause when you have a boyfriend you cant go out on dates with other guys or flirt with other guys and have fun as a single person like go to parties and enjoy the time with some guys

If you're always with someone, always dating, you will never get to know yourself. I love being in the relationship i'm in right now, but i refused to date anyone for about a year before this guy.
