I'm making peppers and sausage for dinner this evening so of course, I recommend that you do the same.

List of stuff you'll need:

1 Red Pepper
1 Green Pepper
1 Yellow or Orange Pepper
A couple of garlic cloves
1 shallot or small onion
1/2 lb of Andouille sausage
a box of Penne pasta
1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce

Okay, this is really really easy to prepare. Put water on to boil for the pasta. Then chop up everything (except the garlic) into 1/2" pieces. Mince or press the garlic.

By this time the water should be boiling, toss in the Penne pasta and cook it until it's al dente...about 7-10 minutes.

While the pasta is cooking...heat up a little olive oil in a big , deep skillet over like medium heat, and throw in the sausage and cook until the pink bits are no longer pink. Add peppers, shallots and garlic and keep cooking...now you don't wanna over cook this, cause then the peppers will get all soggy and that's just wrong. So, when the pasta is done, take the peppers and sausage off the stuff...and drain the pasta...do not rinse it...you want the starch that's on it. Open up your favorite jar or marinara sauce and pour half of it into the pan with the peppers and sausage, put it back on the heat and stir it together, and then toss in the Pasta and stir it all up, just until all of it is coated, mixed and warmed up. Viola, you're done...put it into some bowls, sprinkle some Parmesan or Romano cheese on top, and serve it with some nice garlic bread and a bottle of Chianti! Bon appetit!

if I make a list, will you do my shopping too? I hate going to the store, its my most hated chore. Dont mind the cooking, but hate the shopping! I would trade off any day with you...you do the shopping, and I will invite you over for dinner!

Hmmm, dinner ideas for you. How about steak, baked potato, with all the yummy, fatfree stuff on it(hahahha), and a salad. That is what we are going to have.

I'd make something that would allow you to have leftovers. I know that a lot of people don't like leftovers but some thing just taste better the next day. How about lasagna, caesar salad and garlic toast? Barbeque is always a great thing to have. How about grill chicken breast with baked potatoes with the fixings?

Try citrus grilled chicken breasts.Slice lemons into 3 or 4 slices fairly thick about 1/2 inch.Place them on the grill 2 slices per breast ,place breasts directly on lemon slices. The steam from the lemon permeates the meat.Gives chicken a nice lemon flavor.

Sandwiches on pita bread.

Use green salad as the "filling," with different cheeses and salad dressing to make different flavors of salad.

Greek Salad pita and Caesar salad pitas are both great. But you can make ANY sort of salad into a pita sandwich.

Fast to make. no cooking. Kitchen doesn't get hot. Very healthy.
Each person can customize their own salad/sandwich.

Hey! Me too! Is it hot where you are? If so, avoid making something that must be cooked in the oven. Maybe Greek salads with grilled chicken. I make mine with regular salad stuff; lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, etc. and add kalamata olives, feta cheese and I grill boneless chicken breast with fresh rosemary. Use your fav dressing and serve with a nice bread. mmmmmmm!
