Ever notice on this board that girls will ask if they are attractive. They then say something like this:
I have a straight A average, won several babysitting awards, am 5'6", and like trees.
What does any of this have to do with whether or not you are cute?
No guy out there is going to say "i really want to date suzie, but her grade point average is too low and she doesn't like trees"
Why do girls think that stuff matters?

Girls think it matters because they either have a lot of time on their hands or they have low self esteem.
Being on here you are annonymous, so creating an image is not that hard. If a girl is insecure with herself, she is going to find ways to boost her ego, even if it means getting compliments from complete strangers.
Go with it. Give the 11-16 years olds the compliments.... As long as you know it's lame, you can make someone's day.

Girls are awesome creatures. To ask such a question is called stereotyping, and I am not up for that. Men can also be "screwed up." For example, you asking such an idiotic question that can not be backed up by rational reason makes you a screwed up male for asking a screwed up question. I have a lot of respect for our female counterpart. They can bring love and satisfaction in a man's life, but of course they are also imperfect just as men. Don't judge unless you're perfect yourself. No offense, by the way :p.

Girls are very compicated creatures....as are boys, but in obviously different ways. I hope you can see that the things guys care about like their RBI average or how many jumps they can do on a skateboard are equally less important to girls. Best wishes

that is such poppycock...all girls don't respond that way.guys are the ones who are so verbally and emotionally conflicted. say one thing and meaning something else. here is a boy and a girl reinactment: boy: hey, can i carry your books to class: girl: sure...as a matterof fact take them to my class while i talk to my boyfriend: boy: well that's ok...i don't want to carry your books. ..instead of asking to doing something he didn't really want to do..he could have asked the question that he wanted to ask and saved himself some time away from being in detention for being late . that's what he gets carrying another guy's girlfriend's books.

It all depends. People can be gorgeous, but if they're boring as heck, they aren't really "Attractive." To use a silly TV-phrase, a partner needs "the whole package."

You have to remember that guys are sight motivated and girls are emotionally motivated. She responded in that way because these things are important to her.
So if you are smart and you like her, you will be interested in the things that she has stated.
