The Iraq police and military is TRYING to do exactly what you asked! Don't you read the news or watch tv at all? The insurgents are FOREIGN fighters coming into iraq illegally to fight for a country that's not even theirs! The general population of iraq doesn't want the insurgents there, the iraq police and military are growing daily to try to keep the insurgents at bay. try reading some news once in a while instead of online liberal propaganda.

Because the majority of Iraqis, including members of their new parliament don't want our help, they have continually asked for us to leave. Most Iraqis see us as an occupying force and would prefer we leave. Insurgents are not the same as terrorists, although now, some terrorist leaders are organizing insurgents.

If France invaded America because they thought our Administration was corrupt, arrested our leaders and began to form a new government, any civillian who opposed their soldiers would be labelled an insurgent.

We say we are there to fight terrorists, the insurgents say they will keep fighting us until we leave; its a catch 22 and a lot of contractors and oil execs are becoming incredibly wealthy from it.

Never been in the Military or in a war where you can't tell the good guys from the bad?
In the Nam we couldn't tell the good from the bad until it was too late. I've never been to the Middle East, but I will bet that the same situation exists. Study up on military tactics. Infiltration is played at both ends of the spectrum.

Because these things take time. The Iraqi police and military are still in the process of being created.

And to correct a previous poster: over 60% of the Iraqi population is Shia.

Um, I don't know if you really understand the social dynamics of the thing.

Tell you what.

Why don't you go into a black bar and yell "Hey N!gger", and tell me about the numbers then?

And yes, I want to apologize to blacks on that one, but I was trying to point out social dynamics, and it was the quickest way to do it.

The middle east is very complex, and stating relative numbers does not cut it. You need to spend more time understanding the situation.

first of all.. if u are gonna post a question on here thinking u sound intelligent or clever.. please spell some words right.. also construct your sentences correctly.. it will make things alot easier to understand. (really* Insurgents* doesnt* country* number* Insurgents* that*) second of all.. there is absolutely no way you can prove how many people are associated with the Insurgents.. they dont necessarily want everyone to know who they are... dont make up facts or regurgitate information as fact unless you have a source

They want our help but they cant go against their leader. If they do they are in trouble. Think "he" could do many things to you if you went against "his" will. It's the fact that dont want our help but the facvt they cant. I may confuse you a bit bnut just take the point that they cant go against their leader.
