That is the thing most so called Christians don't get.If you really believe in such a fairy tale I guess u believe in Zeus and Hercules as well.If this man/god died for anyone's sins he died for all. When he died he took the place of the old tradition of animal sacrifice to the Gods.Jesus made that a thing of the past and the moment he died the old covenant was replaced with the new one.So you don't have to ask forgiveness at all from anyone for anything. But the truth is this book is a man made book that has been copied over and over to the point where the original text is not available to us.So just remember you don't have to ask no one anything the story is man made to control the masses and it continues to do just that. The answers u r getting to this question shows how slow man evolves especially in the spiritual realm.Jesus did not die he never lived and he is not coming back.Enough with this fairy tale people lets grow and move beyond the hate and separation the 3 big lies spread.3 Big Lies=Judaism,Christianity and Islam.

He died for our sins meaning that now He is a mediator now between us and God, for we are to live as Jesus did sinless but we still all sin therefore we have Jesus now to ask God to forgive us when we ask for forgiveness.
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

It is true that Christ died for our sins, that is, took the eternal punishment that is due us upon himself so that those who believe may have eternal life with Him. The reason we ask forgiveness for our sins today is that when we sin, and we do, we cause a break in our fellowship with God. He still loves us and our salvation as Christians is not in danger, but there is a breech in the relationship that can only be mended by us acknowledging our sin and seeking forgiveness.

Because back then before Jesus died you had to offer a sacrifice for forgiveness. Now its just a little simpler you just have to pray for forgiveness. Jesus died for our sins and so we could be here today. If Jesus never died for our sins the world would probably be over all ready.

Well He paid the price for your sins and mine on the cross once and for All.
Salvation is a free gift bought and payed for by Jesus blood He willingly shed for us. All you have to is accept the fact that you are a sinner unable to save yourself and ask His forgiveness and repent and accept Jesus as your Lord and savior. Turn your life over to God. This has to be sincere however, meaning you don't just say the words but don't really mean them in your heart. WE are saved by grace and grace alone. Grace means receiving something we don't deserve and cannot buy or work for, it is the gift of God, salvation through Jesus Christ. Like any gift you receive someone bought it for you out of love, you either accept it or not accept it.The choice is yours you have to do that by yourself.

Think of it this way: we have a serious infection. We go to the doctor and he prescribes an antibiotic. But we have no way to fill the prescription for several days. He gives us a few samples to hold us over. And we take those samples. They begin to work. But we won’t really be infection-free until we take the prescription IN ITS ENTIRETY.
It’s similar with the sacrifice of Jesus. We show faith in it and right now, it sort of tides us over. Based on our faith and our request for forgiveness, God grants us such. But we are still – genetically speaking – sinners, infected as it were. We are still in the imperfect state. We aren't infection–free or sin-free. That is, we won’t reach perfection the way Adam enjoyed perfection until Jesus applies the full value of his ransom sacrifice. And that does not happen until after Armageddon.
In the meantime, our faith is counted to us as righteousness and God is able to forgive us daily on the basis of our faith in the ransom sacrifice.

Jesus? Dying?
What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?
(NOT A VIRGIN BIRTH! - betcha never knew that.)
Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Gods do not die? Do they?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!
If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.
'Believers' want everyone to convert to their non-thinking.
Believing and not thinking is to choose a mental illness.

Because nobody saves him from the cross. He died in the cross for"our sins" because the people never realized their own sins. They never supported him and stop those people who nailed him on the cross. Not even from his family, Jhon the baptist was the one who should support him but he build another kind of religion.Like the case of Cain and Abel they did not unite each other.

That's something that's bothered me.I wonder if he had died because of our sins not simply for them...that perhaps we simply didn't get the message he was showing to us...forgiveness as in second chances(however long it takes) is something that makes more sense to me.I don't buy into the whole guilt trip though, but that's just my opinion.

To excercise your faith, cause not everyone that say there is a Jesus believes that He exsist.... The Bible says that even the devil believes and trembles at the name of Jesus.... so to answer your question, for you and me.
People say that there is no proof of existence that Jesus exist, there is no proof that there in wind, you can't see it, but you can feel it. Why do we live in a society that needs proof.... they needed proof that Bush could get us out of war and they put him back in the White House for another four years..... look what's happening. Proof is overrated... Just Believe.
