Just realize it's only every other weekend. If you can't move than you have no other option than make the best of it. Try doing alot of activities outside and enjoy the summertime. Save the special activities and outings when all the kids are there. That way his children will feel special and all the kids can build great memories together.... plus the kids will be busy and have less time to cause trouble...lol. Good luck and don't look at the visits as a burden... it's only 4 days a month after all.

Perhaps you could ask the older ones to help with the younger kids. Get the kids actively involved in each others care. Teach them to play together among themselves and warn them as to not to fight.
You sound stressed out; try making it a joyful activity....
think of things that you could do together...
If you need to cook, let the eldest one help you peel potatoes while the younger ones help in fetching things......
Even a kid a s young as a three year old can help in fetching things......
Encourage them to make their own beds if they are five years or older....it may not be too neat but appreciate their efforts.....
This should help you out until you can find a permanent solution; like a bigger house

OK if they're all different ages but close you should try planning a schedule that will make them tired, that is also interesting and fun for you and the children. That way they will sleep at night longer and you just might have a couple of minutes to yourself.

Keep them busy, take them places where they are outdoors. Go to the park and have picnics.

Take a couple of them to a close relatives, since you have your kids all the time, perhaps take your kids to your moms for the weekend.

Buy them squirt guns and water balloons and send them outside for a water fight. It gets them out of the house for a while and gives you a little peace and quiet.
