If we are all one at the soul level, then this is most important truth of humanity. If we are all one, then how can we hate one another, how can we envy or discriminate?. We may look different, but we are the same. When you look at someone you are looking at your mirror image. This truth should stop hatred toward one another. This truth would stop wars and create a more loving and peaceful world.

We are all one, but the ego in each individual is on a constant vigil to repute that. By separating ourselves from everyone else is good proof to the ego that we aren't one. Our egos created envy, hate, and discrimination to support it's mission. You might say that the ego is the real devil, succeeding everywhere you look at dividing us. United we stand, divided we fall.

We are all the same in the soul, just some of us use ours for the creator who made us and some do not. Hate, selfishness, cruelty, etc. are the products of free will and our society's pushing the realm of jealousy upon us. If we went more by the soul and Bible there wouldn't be such hatred and discrimination. In fact, even w/o the Bible we are all equal. Some people just don't wish to get along and stop the hatred, they love the discontent it produces and they thrive on it---that's call a sociopath, psychopath, etc....a total non-believer in equalness among us, regardless of what he/she spouts as their religious beliefs. Discriminations are from man, so I guess I must amend that we are not all the same at the soul level, some of us have nicer souls than others.

It takes more than truth to stop a wrong practice. It's a start, to be sure, but if the proper motivation is not found in the heart, then the truth becomes like the Chinese proverb: “Teaching that enters the ears but not the heart is like dinner eaten in a dream.”

If we are to benefit personally from the eternal beauties of truth, and not just dream about them —it is vital that what we learn reaches our heart -the seat of motivation - and not just our ears, where it usually goes in one and out the other.

Very true but trying using actual things we know to explain this to others.

If you could only view the world at the atomic level, wouldn't everybody and everything look alike? We are all the same underneath ; )

The difference is just lack of knowledge.
It's not skills that count.

God is not the only force acting on us. Satan is everpresent on earth, this is why we do evil.
