I love it how people list answers about a faith they know nothing about. I'm sorry you have been given so many incorrect assumptions about our faith. I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I, myself have asked millions of questions and have found happiness in this church. To answer a few of the questions you brought up....
1. Jesus & Lucifer are brothers: We believe that we are all spiritual children of our Heavenly Father.
2. Own our own planet: not exactly..... we believe that God is our father. He wants us to have what he has, as any parent would want the most for their children here on earth. See the bible: Romans. 8: 17
17 And if children, then heirs; aheirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we bsuffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For all questions concerning our faith, go to the source. Asking random people will only give you false answers and assumptions. You wouldn't go to a Ford dealer asking about Chevy's right? :)
You can find any answer to your questions at www.lds.org
The only way to truly understand our faith and to know its truthfullness is to read the Book of Mormon and pray about what you have read. The Book of Mormon and the Bible go hand in hand and you will find footnotes listing references to each at the bottom of page.
Click on basic beliefs -- that is a great link to answer a lot of questions. I hope this helps!
Have a great day

#1 Lucifer is an angel a created being Jesus created him, no way are they brothers.
Col 1:16 For by Jesus were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Jesus, and for Jesus:
Col 1:17 And Jesus is before all things, and by Jesus all things consist.
#2 God does not have a wife and also the Mormons believe we marry in the after life, not so!
Mt 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Mt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
#3 another belief they have is that wine was like grape juice, not so!
Ac 2:13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
Ac 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Ac 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
#4 There is only one truth and that is found in the Holy Bible not the book of mormon!

That 'milk before meat' thing is total crap. The mormon church never gives meat to anyone. That's just a concept that's used to keep people from asking too many questions.
Go to the above-mentioned Journal of Discourses link. The JofD is FULL of unique LDS teachings, especially in the talks given by Brigham Young while he was Mormon Prophet. I don't have time to look up all the references right now but he says stuff like:
-The sun and moon are inhabited
-Adam is God the Father (the same one that physically impreginated Mary)
-Inter-racial marriage should be punishable by death.
-Black people were 'less valient' in the 'pre-existence'
-Blacks can go to heaven, however they will be servants to the white people.
-The mormon prophet should dictate in all 'temporal' as well as spiritual matters.
-The mormon prophet can never teach false doctrine.
-Those guilty of murder or adultery must have their own blood shed in order to repent of their sins.
It goes on and on. Do a google search for Brigham Young quotes or something and you'll find tons of references.

Not all practicing Mormons know everything about their religion.Much of what they teach is taught only to those Mormons who have attained Temple Privileges. Once ther are permitted inside a sacred temple, they learn more about their religion.
Here are some of their beliefs: They can be baptized for the dead, They wear white holy undergarments to protect them from the evils of the outside world, They used to forbid the use of caffeine until the Mormon church purchased stock in Coca-Cola. Now they can consume caffeine.

There is no proof to this in the Book of Mormon. Most of that wacky stuff is in the so called teachings of the leaders of the church. They take what these poeple said as the word of GOD.
The followers refuse to think for themselves, wierd I tell ya.

I agree. Where is the proof. Some of the answers have no proof.
To clarify one post
All worthy males are ASKED not forced not made not anything but ASKED to serve a mission when they turn 19 yrs old.
We do not practice polygamy anymore and those that do belong to the FLDS church and in no way belong to the LDS (mormon) church.

1We belive in God the Eternal Father, in His Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost
2We belive that a man must be punished for his won hins and not for Adams transgression
3We believe that through the Atonment of Christ, all mankind can be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinces of the gospel
4We belive that the first ordinences of the gospel are first: faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, second repentance, third baptisim by immersion for the remission of sins and fourth the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost
5We believe that man must be called of God by prophesy and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinences thereof
6We believe in the same organization that existed in the primitive church. Namly apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangilists and so forth
7we believe in the gift of tounges, prophesy , revelation, visions, healing interpretation of tounges and so forth
8We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly, we also beleive the Book of Mormon to be the word of God
9We believe all that God has revealed all that He does does now reveal, and we believe that he will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God
10We believe in the literal gathering of Isreal and in the restoration of the ten tribes, that Zion (the New Jeruselem) will be built upon the American Continent, that Christ will reign personally upon the Earth and, that the Earth will recieve its pardisiacal glory
11We claim the privilege of worshiping the Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilage, let them worship how where and what they may.
12 We beleive in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, horoing, and sustaining the law.
13We belive in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtous, and in doing good to all men. In deed we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul. we believe all things, we hope all things, we have indued many things and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything lovely, or of good report, or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

The visitiation of the Angel Moroni, appearing to Joseph Smith with revelations while dressed as a Native American. That's rather unique... and it's the backbone of the establishment of the denomination.

Yes, it seems acceptable for old men to marry as many young women as they can manage. Bigamy is a trait they share with Muslims. It also seems compulsory to wear a silly black hat with a large rim, presumably to give shade to the broods they produce with their many spouses. I think they also share the childish belief with all the other world religions that their God is the only real god, instead of understanding that the idea of an afterlife is only mans vanity and fear of mortality!

I believe you were asking for "unique" beliefs...
Law of Adoption. http://www.utlm.org/newsletters/no92.htm#SEALING%20MEN%20TO%20MEN
One has to look to other Church publications to find these "unique" things. Utlm is not affiliated with the Church but has done research on historical documents, such as various journals including those of John D. Lee, Wilford Woodruff, and the Journal of Discourses.
http://journalofdiscourses.org/Vol_09/refJDvol9-52.html
The Journal of Discourses is a Church affiliated site? Apparently yes as it is linked via Fairlds.org! http://www.fairlds.org/apol/ai161.html
"But we can seal women to men, but not men to men, without a Temple."
http://journalofdiscourses.org/Vol_16/JD16-185.html
If these accounts are correct Brigham Young had 38 other men, plus their wives/kids, sealed to him. And then, surprise, men are viewed with a higher esteem than women. A man can be sealed to a woman anywhere but if you are to be sealed to a man, that takes a temple. That's pretty unique, wouldn't you say?
It should be noted that this practice was discontinued after Brigham Young's death as Woodruff was not comfortable with it, as it caused jealousy within the ranks. Think about it, by gathering so many, having them sealed to you, well that's quite a kingdom you are building for the afterlife. ;)
