women are programmed from birth to value their intellects less than their looks. I am not saying they think they are dumb, but they downplay their minds, are careful not to sound too smart, and stay away from studying the sciences and math. This is because they are taught to act this way. I remember being mortified at school in grade 4 because I answered a question in math class faster than the smartest boy. Rather than being proud, I felt like I had farted in an elevator.
I am straight, but I have always had lots of gay friends. I find that bi and lesbian women are far more likely the value their minds, publish a challenging novel or book, and to get into arguments to air out ideas in a group. Straight women are taught to be the sweetheart and the peacemaker in groups, so that when the boys argue, they can smooth things over. It is the role they have been taught to play, and there's nothing wrong with that. I just wish people were more aware of these dynamics.
So no, men aren't smarter, they are just not socially programmed to suppress their smarts.

Hell yeah!
Women are hormonal creatures who need to be told what to by men who break the mould and develop to be independent thinkers. Women are content to be slaves in whatever system that prevails so that they will have the security and stability to get pregnant and give birth most comfortably, whereas men are courageous enough to question existing paradigms(thats because men know they will never need the help of others play their part in procreation). Whereas women continually kiss every *** available thinking that theyll need to pull in all favours just to have a full life- if you fear offending anybody and everybody, youll end up accepting everything thats bad in human beings and thats exactly what women do.After a while, when they are getting all old and insecure, they try to intimidate anybody they can with whatever authority they have got by kissing all asses possible. All this talk about gender sensitisation is a coverup for the inherent ineptitude of women. They are easy to manage coz they dont have the guts to challenge anybody unless protected by systems that assures them their inability to be original will be rewarded with fake assurances as to their ability! Most systems love an unquestioning attitude. This does not mean that the people that such systems reward have any merit other than their lack of spine. Riding on this wave of "all inclusive" attitude that has set in these days, we should not be fooled into thinking a woman is as good as a man. Because, unless raised solely by a woman, any man is better than the best woman at anything.Any exception to this means simply that the job has some unethical aspects and the major job requirement is turning a blind eye to anything objectionable and going along with the bosses(all men of course-proves a point). All major social institutions of every society were built by men and the inclusion of women into the group of people who control these leads only to their(the institutions, not the women)corruption and degradation.

The record straight, if you have to ask this question, then you must have doubts then, it's a general rule women are more mature than a man, after all how many women do you see going around calling a man Daddy, but up and down the street in offices, stores, you will see a man call a woman, Mama.So do men ever grow up.

As a general rule, no I don't. I think men are better at some thinking and women are better at others. To compare and say one is smarter than the other shows you aren't cognizant of those differences and you are beiing pretty disrespectful.
Women are not afraid to express their feelings and I think emotions plus thoughts are a powerful combination. Women are complex and the way we think reflects that.
Men are pretty good at figuring things out in many ways and that's cool. I think we both have differences and that when you put them together, you get the perfect combination.
And how on earth are you going to have a decent relationship with a woman if you walk into it thinking you are better than she is?

Not offended. But- no. Little tidbit of information for you, also. A few years ago, women surpassed men in population of attendance in Universities. As education tends to create higher intelligence levels, through practice, if nothing else, I'm afraid I'd have to believe the contrary is true, particularly if the trend (and it has so far) continues. Women, then, appear to be smarter than men.

If you want to set the record straight instead of sit on it then think about why more men do the hard work than women. Women have more of the wealth of the world and live longer. They contribute more to society than most men and influence families much more than men.

As far as I am concerned, it pretty much evens up. While men are more intelligent when it comes to engineering and mathematical stuff, women are more in control when it comes to communicating, organizing and interpersonal skills. Although there are areas that both men and women excel in, I still see that as a general rule, the differences in the genders' cognitive and skills aptitude very much complement what they individually lack.
E.g. Most CEO's are men yet their executive assistants are normally women, because although the directions can come from the CEO, he'd still need to be assisted by a woman to ensure that all communications and organization requirements are attended to.

I used to think women were smarter than men because they didn't waste as much time watching grown men hit a ball with a stick, then I saw soap operas. Men and women are equally stupid.

no I don't. I think men may initially have a greater physical strength, not a better mind. I personally don't know many smart males, or at least not smarter than the women around them. Or is that just their laziness kicking in?

Oh please, get real. It involves more than smarts. You must look deeper than the surface. Women have their women's intuition and they are never wrong. How about a mother always knows when her children are safe or in harms way miles from their children. Also, our society are letting women come forward and show what they can do as well as men. Men are great and and bless their hearts they need women to keep them going.
