an arch? i thought it was an ark.....

The Bible does not specifically say how long it took Noah to build the ark. When Noah is first mentioned in Genesis 5:32, he was 500 years old. When Noah entered the ark, he was 600 years old. The time it took to build the ark would depend on how much time had passed between Genesis 5:32 and the time that God commanded Noah to build the ark (Genesis 6:14-21). At the absolute most, it took 100 years.

um Noah built an Ark - not an arch - and God gave Noah 7 days to built and load it.

Read the passages about it! It tells his age at the beginning and his age at the end. The entire timeline is there for you. I could tell you exactly how long, but you should research this. It's an Ark, by the way, but gladly we understood what you meant. :-)

A consideration of the scriptures seems to indicate that it was about fifty years or so. This was not his only activity however.
