I know from time to time people go back and have them touched up. Experts say that people shed dead skin cells all the time and they are replace with new.

Permant tattoos never wash off, or come off over time. Henna Tattoos wear off over time. People go to get tattoos touched up as sun damage can make them fade a bit, I have 2 tattoos 1 I've had for 4 years and it's started to fade after 6months because of sun damage, the other I've had for nearly a year and because it's somewhere where the sun don't shine, has never faded and still looks as good as the day I got it. :)

Tattoos don't go very deep, they scar the skin, and you don't need anything to go very deep to make a scar, the scar is then filled with ink. This is how tattoo's are done.

I am so sorry but I don't know the answer but I will try. I have never had an tattoo before so thats why I am guessing. I believe that it coudl go deep because of the needle they do with it. (If they don't do it with a needle than forget that) It must sink very deep. And you do shed your skin but not like a snake. I've seen people with tattoos and they probably come off in few years. Usually people go to a doctor to get them removed though if you are trying to get your tatoo removed.
