I was doing my Tae Bo workout this morning and did a back kick and did it way to hard and high and something snapped! Right under my left butt cheek all the way down the back of my thigh. Ow....

Any tips on how to ease this pain?

Take your usual analgesic - aspirin, ibuprofen, or ??

Put an ice pack on the place it hurts the most. Position yourself so that it hurts the least (in otherwords if it hurts to sit, don't sit).

Try not fully extend it as much as possible for a few days. After it starts feeling less painfull you should start some routine stretches to ease it back into use.

Rest and water.
Light massage after 24 hours have passed.

Active rest - if you sit on the couch all day you are only making it worse. Move around like normal. Do housework.

I would suggest a contrasting shower. (exteme hot and extreme cold water) Pain pills and continue to work out that muscle slowly. Just work it out until it is back to normal. The shower realy helps.

Aspirin or Tylenol will help for the pain. Massaging, heat and light streaching/exercise to help it heal. Unfortunately there is no instant cure. It just takes time.

hi sorry to hear that. You will have to keep a heat pad or a cold pack on it. You will have to keep on moving on it constantly so it don't get stiff. Otherwise, It will become swollen and stiff. Remember keep the leg active active active active.
