I believe that organized religions are the main and most powerful obstacle to world peace. The danger arises when people of one religion say they are better and will go to heaven and others who don't follow the same religion will go to hell. God doesnot have a religion. God is inside of me and you and in everything and everywhere. Your religion is a result of what your parents believed. We need to believe in the ultimate source or God and get rid of religions

Religion has never been an instrument of peace in the world and getting rid of it would be a step forward in our development as a sentient species. Religion stands in the way of what must be done to further the health and progress of our species.The only way for humanity to survive with any dignity, is to reduce the World population to 2 billion people. This will require that we stop trying to out-breed each other, which is the main tool religion uses to increase their numbers relative to the numbers of other religions trying to do the same thing. Religion is a loose/loose proposition.

Religions aren't bad, unless killing is part of the religion. People just need to be accepting of other beliefs and humble about there own. Remember that the bible was written by man, and anything can be interpreted wrongly. Many peoply take the words in the bible the wrong way, example, "spare the rod and spoil the child" , does not mean to whip your child, it means to discipline, could be a time-out or just an explanation to the child of what they did wrong, why it was wrong and how they can correct they're behavior. It's people, not religion. Listen to your heart and head, not your emotions when things get heated.

The answer to world peace would, in my opinion, begin with the surrendering of any political superiority, any military control in every country around the world. When all countries of the WORLD come together for the greater good of humanity and give up the idea of total control and power (meaning the quest for world domination)! Not until then; can World Peace be achieved. So speaking realistically, since no country with power will think of the greater good of humanity without being a dominant force...world peace is virtually impossible to acheive...at least in our lifetime..

I think the only way we can reach world peace is stop being humans... seriously, we have an evil nature... we are selfish, egocentric, ethnocentric... we all want to be the best; best country, best person, best singer, best band, best brand, best designer, best student, best parents, best friend, best "religious" person... and what happens when everyone want to be the best at everything? There’s conflict... what happens when a country feels so powerful that goes and invades other countries and imposes its rules? There’s conflict... why? Because it's our nature!
Of course we are all not evil in the same ways, but as long as we are human beings will have that extra spice of wanting to be the best and not just better that will lead to conflict.

I think it would probably be a start in the right direction, but it won't solve the problems. There will still be racism and division of coutries, ethnocentricity, and the human nature that drives us to be better than each other to overcome before we can truly attain peace. And I'm sure we would find other reasons to start fights even after all that.
World peace = removal of the human race

The answer to world peace is simple and has nothing to do with religion. If we all just followed the golden rule which is to treat others the way you want to be treated yourself, then there would be no problems. Think about it......

Nearly every major war or incident can be attributed in some way shape or form to prejudices and/or misunderstandings of others due to relgious beliefs.

knowing...real love and true beauty, come from the belief in those truths that make us feel the most beautyl....the only world u can make peaceful is the one that is surrounding u now....that peace u feel u give out and it comes back and dissapears and then goes again...i dont know is always a good answer,,, i trust those that can admit they dont have the answer,,,how can u know until u die wat wil happen...wel thats just another question now isnt it

Tolerance for other peoples views and not forcing other peolple to believe what u believe.
Even if there was no religion, if there was no tolerance people would still find something to fight about.
