You put the cd-rom into the cd-rom drive which came with the mp3 player, it will install some programs and then you plug the mp3 player into a USB slot on your computer and then you get some music from a place like http://www.emusic.com/ and then you copy it to the mp3 player and then you safely unplug the mp3 player with the software tools and then you use the buttons on it and connect the earphones and it plays.

if you use a PC, plug in your mp3 to a usb port on your computer. If you go to My computer on your desk top or start menu, the mp3 will show as 'removable disc'. If you double click to open it, it shows you what is on there. If you have nothing on it you can a, copy and paste music from your music file on your pc into your 'removable disc' folder. or buy music online, store it in your mucic file and copy it on to your mp3. The first time you use it, you may have to install the cd rom (if you have one) or the computer may locate the programme for it online.
if you use a mac, I dont have a clue!
