Don't worry,it's not harrassment to ask Christians to read scripture. There are just some people out there that are only happy if they get to argue, and contradict. even though I'm not Atheist,I can't see that asking one of them to read the Bible is harrassment either. It's not like you are telling them to believe it...just read some.It would be like me asking you to read a Stephan King novel. You would do it for entertainment value. If Atheists read the Bible,I'm sure that is how they look at it.

Some may consider it not necessarily harassment, but condescending. By your phrasing it may come off as if you are the only one to have read the bible. In almost 2000 years, I can assure you that many others have also, and still do today. :)
I think having a thick skin is needed when you post on any forum. Remember to take things with a grain of salt, some may take your postings the wrong way. I think you were asking for people to have another look at the passage and meditate on it.
As a Christian, we are here to be together, to be one in the Body of Christ, which is what I think you're trying to do. If you're looking at provoking a conversation about a scripture reading you found profound, then perhaps, before posting it, have a 2nd look - is the question really conveying what you really mean and how you mean to say it? Sometimes choosing a non-confrontational phrasing will lead to more open and thought provoking conversation.

To read the actual words of what Jesus Christ would be to look into the lost gospels (Thomas, Judas) to see what Christ was really trying to say. It's harrassment to Christians because the actual thoughts of Christ don't agree with the current statements of that comic book called a bible.

I normally don't open my door when some church werdos show up at it. Or I will tell them to go away. I have read your bible and I believe it to be a book and nothing more.
So STOP HARRASSING ME ABOUT IT!!!
All of us non believers should go knocking on everyone's doors and telling the believers how silly we think they are.
You do know you are told by the bible writers to go out and get more people to come to church for one thing. Yup to give money. It is a scam and you people need to understand this. Stop giving the money you worked so hard for to some rich man so he can drive new cars and go to all the foot ball games an buy hookers. I about forgot his big house you are paying for and his maids.
Free bibles with each bridge you buy. God came to me and told me I should do this because it will help the poor people like me and my family. or you can just send your money to me if you like and leave the bridges for the public to drive over. You will get a free bible with every $1000 you give me and I'll even be happy to tell you that you might go to hell if you don't donate to me.

The harassment is not the asking them to read the Bible, but in the veiled suggestion that they obey it. Most Christians read the Bible, even if only cursorily; fewer understand what they read and very few obey it unconditionally. Even Yahoshua Himself asked: “Why do you call me Lord Lord and do not the things I say.” It is easier to profess Christ than to obey Him, but mere profession won’t gain you much in this life and nothing in the next.

It is not harassing Christians to ask them to read the words of Christ. These words are spirit and life, and I read them every day with gladness and joy. Next time you read them, read with an open heart and your life will be changed.

It depends on what you mean by harassing. We each have our own faith or religion and some don't believe at all. For me, I have my own religion and find it very annoying to have Jehovah Witnesses come to my door telling me that their way is the right way and when I say I'm not interested, they put their foot in the door so I can't close it. That IS harassment.

Find some new questions to ask, instead of trying to get everyone's underwear in a bunch, by your religous questions. Not everyone believes in darwin, As a matter of fact, didn't he give his life to jesus christ , when he was on his death bed? interesting fact.
go play in traffic now.

it dose not harass the Christians whom believe the word, it helps them grow in what they know to be true. It may harass the atheists whom are not believers, but hopefully it just starts planting seeds, someday they may get the big picture and pull a 360. they may eventually start to believe.

When you know the meaning you are refering to is not the real or only meaning, When like Satan did ( and Satan loves to quote the bible) uses verses out of context to try and apear "smart" or try and show limits to things.
I would say that you need to look at your motives and deside to read and practice what you are posting.
