Is there a way to lose 5 lbs in a week? I went on vacation, went off hte diet, and gained quickly... I recently lost 35 lbs, and bought all new clothes, now some dont fit, and I have special plans next week! I have gone back to the diet and exercise, but nothing sems to be moving..any way to jumpstart the weight loss or to loose those 5 lbs quick?

Drink water, water, water nothing else. Eat very low carbs and exercise at least 30 minutes. The weight will drop off.

Generally you gain weight because of fats deposits, just dissolve them. How?

People go for losing weight by pills or starving.

Pills do not act effectively and for longer durations. Pills have many side effects for your health.

Starving weakens you and your defense system is also weakened. This makes you less resistant against infections and other diseases.

The best way is to lose weight by change of diet and your physical activities.

1. Reduce or stop to take oils and fats.
2. Stop taking sugar and glucose. (Mainly tea, coffee & cold drinks.
3. Stop taking potato, rice.
4. Reduce wheat and corn as much as possible.
5. Take food twice a day. (Thrice will also be acceptable).
6. Do not take any solid or liquid diet during intervals of your food times.

Take vegetables, boiled meat, fruits (even sweet).

And at the top of all:

Play physical games or walk, as per requirement of your age at least 40 to 60 minutes twice a day.
Do not take any thing during game or walk.

You will start losing weight to the extent of daily difference.

every bodies opinions vary on that question but some feel juice fasting can kick start a weight loss and cleanse the body. There is some information out right now about Dr. Haas and his Detox. You may have plateaued. which those have been known to last weeks. above all else don't starve yourself. if you put your body into starvation mode almost anything you start putting in your mouth your body will turn to fat to keep you alive.
some people say the Rice Diet can help too.

Day 1: whey protein shake ever two hours, start around 8am, and at 6 pm, finish eating for the day with another shake, 4 oz. lean protein baked or broiled (chicken or fish), and 6 cups of green dark green veggies, mostly leafy like spinach or romaine.

Day two & three: one-two cups fruit every two hours. High antioxident and fiber fruits (apples, pineapples, blueberries, strawberries) again, start at 8am, finish at 6pm with a whey protien, your greens and 4 oz. lean protien.

It's an awesome fat flush. You can eat sensibly for four days and repeat up to 12 weeks, but don't expect to lose the weight as dramatically as you did with the first flush.

There's actually a way to lose weight fast. I read it in a magazine. You eat 400 calories for four days, then for four you eat regular amount. It'll shock your body into losing the weight. You can probably find the magazine at the check out counter. Not sure how well this actually works. The article was called "Salt can actually help you lose weight"

Not good for the long-term, but a fast 5 lbs? Protein shakes. Small, frequent protein meals during the day, cut WAY down on fat & carbs (don't do this long-term), and lots of water. No alcohol.

Walk every day for at least 30 minutes, and restrict your diet to 2000 calories per day, or at least cut out as many fats and carbs as possible.

try the total challenge. eat the cereal everyday for a week in the morning for breakfst. It is good for you and it really does help loose 5lbs. They also have a body wrap at salon/spas, now where it helps loose 12 inch or more...
