hi,the question is one i've been asking myself too.the phrase 'love unconditionally' seems rather idealistic.for me,at least to love without being loved in return,is very tough.but it is the fundamental doctrine of every religion.it makes you a part of the realm of saints.it is,by far the hardest thing to do,because you can end up getting hurt in the process.
but if you want to be worldly wise,then it is better to be loved than to love.however,it makes you only human.
and,of course,bliss is to love and to be loved.

To answer your question honestly, I HAVE loved, but I have never BEEN loved, so in my case, I would rather "be loved" for once. I know the joy of loving. Now, I want to know the joy of being loved.

I believe that you have to have to love in order to be loved. If you think that you love however are not loved in return, then maybe it is not true love. True love is very hard to find so good luck!

if you have to choose 1, then go for to be loved.
1- at least there is hope, who knows maybe you can love the other party back someday
2- Do you want to be in his/her position... to be burning with love and not getting it back!!
When being in love, you at least have the luxury of getting a good night's sleep if vise versa, it is hell

I think it would be better to be loved cause if you love you will end up getting yoyour heart broken but if ur loved your heart never gets broken.
