my opinion of school varies.... it depends on the school. Personally I do not like public schools, I went to one, and graduated, but it was not exactly what you would call a good school. To put it in perspective 3 out of five students had two or more F's. I graduated a semester early my senior year with more credits than needed. Now why do I dislike public schools? Well lets see.... hmmmmmm.... first off most teachers don't care anymore. They are there to simply dish out a lesson plan and kick back. Secondly I absolutely detest the way that they cencor things. For example I was writing a newspaper article for the school newspaper about cencorshhip and the school computers would only let me look up one side of an issue. For example when I tried to look up articles and sites on abortion, I could only access right to life sites yet the pro abortion sites were blocked!! I mean, in this institution of learning why are the students not allowed to access ALL of the information, not a state sponsored view of the issue like some communist country? Now comes the issue of private schools... They have higher standards and seem to do a great deal better than public schools in overall "learning" as in test scores and all that but most private schools are religious and spopnsor their own doctrine into the learning initiative. Example: evolution. So in my opinion both public and private schools have ups and downs. Now on the issue of homework..... If you dont do your homework your only cheating yourself..... Should it be mandatory? I don't believe so. If you know the material why should you have to do this extra work???? Thats all I got on that!!

ever heard, "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER" well it is.. the only way to get a better paying job is through knowledge and seems most want that knowledge to be done through school, but you can gain knowledge from experience... as far as for homework, it is given to re enforce what you were taught in the classroom, it's what you choose to do with the homework that counts.. re enforce or just be lazy and answer anything!!!!

It would be great if it one didn't have to do multiple papers in every class all due on the same day. If you don't have that problem, you haven't been to college. Personally, I believe the teachers get together and decide what would be a good day to have their classes papers due.

school's not that bad, even if sometimes drives you crazy. you might learn some stuff and it gives you a little discipline, necessary when you start working.
the best thing about school in my opinion is that it's the main place where kids learn their social skills

It's only good for boy's when they pass the age of thirty five and become immune to thinking all day about having sex with the girl sitting next to them....I take that back....it's never good.
