As almost everybody has already said, with God's hand in it anything is possible. What I was taught, was that God made the animals and so he knows how to control them. He rallied them up from every part of the globe and marched them two by two right into the arc. Noah just made sure that they arrived. Animals are simple creatures and easily controlled. (If humans can do it, then God could definitely do it.) What he also did was make sure that none of the animals mated during their stay on the arc. He told Noah that he and his wife (Noah's sons and their wives included) that they also were not allowed to mate on board otherwise the supplies would not last if more animals and babies were born during that time. He made sure that the animals didn't do what nature intended them to do and if he could do that, then he could definitely sort them up and march them onto the big arc.

The bible does not need to be taken literally to have enormous value as a teacher of right and wrong. Most biblical scholars accept that the bible contains some parable and fable. The story of Noah is based on an ancient myth that predates the bibles by 100's of years.
There may indeed have been a huge flood, but it was not exactly as told in the bible.
But accuracy is irrelevant. The bible is not meant to be a history book, but rather a collection of stories designed to explain morality and the consequences of a lack of morality and good behavior.

yea i do. It's what GOD wanted to happen, so it happened. He made it happen because that's what he had planned. It was so those animals could mate you know, so they could make more of them. I don't know whether ur a christian or not, so if ur not let me tell you this: GOD has things planned out for every person in the world. Even for you. If you just except that he made you and invite him into ur heart as ur LORD and savior. Than you can have ever lastin life. Isn't that awesome? to live forever and not change or ever look any older than about 35. the reason ppl look like they're 35 is because that's how old GOD was when they killed him on the cross.

Yes.Animals are more obedient to their instincts which come from an authority higher than man. A recent example is the tsunami. My sister cried because of the amount of people who died and she marvelled that the animals had the sense to go to higher ground.Think about how many animals died in the tsunami.Who told them to get out of the tsunami area? I know someone who trains dogs but his son is 'out of control' and a discipline problem- living from one trouble to the next. The story of Balaam is even more interesting as a donkey saw an angel but a prophet was ignorant of his presence. Those who live in the hurricane belt know that ants march whenever a storm is approaching, often long before the meteorology department issue a warning.I believe animals are more receptive to God than man even though he (man) is considered more intelligent and superior.

If you choose to trust the story of Noah (which is told other places outside of bible) then yes you have that issue to ponder. there are several possible answers
. God had his hand in it so they willingly followed Noah
. Animals sensed Noah meant them no harm and they followed.
. Noah had to capture animals and bring them to Ark (Most likely)

If they were anything like the animals today, Noah would have one hell of a time rounding them up! I actually believe the story of Noah's Ark (my family is from Armenia) but I don't think two of each animal were there. I think Noah rounded up as many of each as he could get and tried as hard as he could to gather them up and save them. I think it was chaos!:)

If you believe that the heavens and the Earth were created by God (stop and think about that one), Do you think it would be hard for God to cause the animals to draw near the Ark and go in?

Of course! God commanded that the animals go aboard the ark. With God all things are possible.

They weren't obeying Noah, Tom. Like Noah, they were obeying God.

Come on....flies, mosquitoes, gorilla's, whales? Please tell me exactly how big was this ark that there was room for whales to swim around? I believe I am a Christian, but God gave me a brain to reason with & clearly this is a story in the Bible to teach obedience.
