I thought about how mothers feed their babies
with tiny little spoons and forks so I wondered
what do Chinese mothers use? Toothpicks?

For your information, Chinese do use spoons too. Depending on what we eat and depending on the circumstances, we use different utensils for different dishes or under different circumstances. In your case, once a baby has passed the breastfeeding stage, yes, they would use spoons to feed the babies.

Lol. That was a very interesting question.
They probably just feed them with "normal-sized" chopsticks. Spoons are too big for a baby's mouth, that's why we use little spoons. But chopsticks aren't so big that a baby can't eat with them.
