Best option would be to try one of the many temporary highlighters on the market to see if you like that looks.

If you have never had your hair colored before, foiled is less drastic change; it will just add natural looking glints to your hair where using a cap will give it more of a streaked looked. If first time coloring hair, please go to a salon the first time to have it done and if you like the look, get a recommendation for the colorist for at home products that you can use.

If you do decide to do a process at home, be sure to do a test strip on the underside of your head where it will not be that noticeable to see how long to leave the solution on and what color you can expect the highlights to look like.

Be very wary about doing any two step blonding at home (any product that has the packet of blue powder is a two-step blonding product) as it is very easy to botch and to not apply it within 2 inches of your scalp until the rest of your hair has been covered as the heat from your head acts as an accellerant and will come out lighter at the roots if put on first.

I don't know how old you are. If you are under 18 I would wait about processing my hair. There are some great products out there to bring out your natural highlights.John Freida's line for blondes does a nice job.
You can also spritz your hair with lemon water before a day out at the pool or any where in the sun.

Caps are best for short hair. You should also get a cool blonde or ash based toner after you bleach them. It gets the orange or yellow casts out of the hair unless you like golden blonde. Also use a purple or blue colored conditioner.

Dont buy products from the store(walmart, ect.)! Go to a local hair salon and have them foil it for you, they do a really good job. One time I tried dying my own hair blonde and it turned it green! So I suggest going to the salon. Izzy

Get your hair done professionally please I am a colourist and I can tell you thru years of experience that messing your own hair up is not cheap. It's actually alot of work for us stylist that try to keep your costs down like myself but sometimes you girls make it almost impossible. Foil in highs from ear to ear and go with that for now if you want more later go with it. Good Luck. The Hairwizard and make sure you tell them to weave them in.

How about a lighter blonde color, such as "Honey Blonde?"
A co-worker of mine had the same hair color,as you do. She went to a Beauty Salon, and had her hair colored "Honey Blonde". She looks terrific!. (She has blue eyes).
She told me that a "Strawberry Blonde" hair color looks good on those who have Green eyes.

(Good Luck)

Why is everyone with blond, why cannot you just have jet black curly hair with some blonde or blonde tresses with some jet black hair. Right now you don't have to choose.

I have brown tresses and I have Blonde highlights. Maybe you should try lighter blonde, that might look better than brown, dark brown just looks kind of trashy.
