You only *need* to have you and your fiance, a minister (or someone that can legally marry you), two witnesses, and love. That's it. The rest of it is for show and celebration. Do what makes you happy!

I think for such a small wedding, keeping it modest will be a good idea. The limo is a good idea {If lets everyone know there is a celebration}, Backyard reception keeps it cheap, photographer takes from the money for what you would have spent on a restaurant reception, friends are always welcomed {try to limit there children if not immediately family or to young to understand}, and a beautiful decorated backyard can be wonderful in the Summer time.

These are some things that can real budget and also give you a beautiful wedding.Try finding prices of what if's and subtract the prices from my suggestions and see the outcome. Good luck and congratulations.

It really depends what you want. Me? I would have done a quick & easy wedding, probably at a casino in vegas, and then had a spectaular dinner for all the guests in a fabulous restaurant.

A photog is necessary, if it's your first wedding. Remember, the flowers will die, the dress will be hidden away in the attic, the memories will fade - so all you have are the pictures to help remind you of all the things that happened.

If you choose to do something less formal, I would find a B&B or a person with a gorgeous backyard and do it all in one spot. I would then have good food catered in and free flowing wine and a few chosen mixed drinks (like mojitos, margaritas, and lemon drops). Have a stereo out there for a first dance and then to keep the party lively. A limo isn't really necessary if you can change and get ready in the house, except maybe to get you back home. Instead, have someone with a towncar like car drive you home.

Good luck to you!

I was the Maid of Honour in a wedding that was exactly 13 people (which includes the bride and groom). It was done in under 2 months, in the groom's adopted parents house and the only thing they had arranged, other than the minister, were flowers and a cake. Two vases of flowers, two boutonnieres for the groom and his best man and then flowers for the bride and myself. The groom's mother took care of all the food and drink for that day except for the cake which the bride and I picked up the morning of the wedding. Everyone brought their own cameras and film and took pictures and the groom's sister decorated the living room and found a tape with wedding music to play on the boom box.

Now, we were inside because this was an end of November wedding in Northern Ontario, Canada. Major snow storm that night so, naturally, we weren't going to be outside. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, check out the website below and on the picture pages there are some pictures of that wedding just to give you an idea

I think I would try and talk everyone into going on a cruise and do it on the ship.

Limos are always a waste of money, whether it's a big wedding or a small wedding.

I would go with a restaurant instead of the backyard since it's such a small group.

You want to hire the best photographer you can afford, this is the only permanent part of the wedding. You'll want to be able to look back and remember and you can't do that with out of focus pictures that your cousin took with a disposable.

Look and see if you can find a wedding chapel near you. It's easier to control the weather inside. Good luck.

1. Yes, I would do it as soon as possible with a wedding party of that size.

2. Yes, modest but not cheap

3. Yes, tasteful is the best, simple and elegant.

Bare essentials: Bride and groom, 2 witnesses, a marriage license and someone to do the ceremony, if I had a big enough back garden I would prefer to do it at home. Spend money for decent photos, hire a good photographer. I wouldn't hire the limos, ask a friend with a nice car to drive you.

i would get a limo, get married outside by a beautiful lake with real flowers(fake may last a lifetime but they are not as beautiful.) i would rent some kind of reception hall or make reservations for a really really nice restaurant that most people would not typically go to a whole lot. and if you want dancing and stuff like that you could always rent a reception hall for a few hours and get a dj.
i planned my wedding approx. 150 guests in about a month and it cost me 3 grand. it was very beautiful my guests sat at round tables and they got their food brought to them not like many weddings where you have to get up and wait in line. most people said it was the nicest wedding they've been to in a vey long time. good luck and best wishes to who is getting married.

to have a tasteful yet modest wedding stick to the outdoors have reception at home in the backyard as well as the ceremony. have friends do the photography but you'll have to put together the album yourself, and just use your own car but make sure that it is decorated also.

Well, lets just say if your only having like 10-15 quests then why are you going all out for the wedding? I only had like 30-50 and we kept it very simple and inexpensive. Got married in a little chapel, reception at my parents house, mom made the food, we took our own pictures. Do whatever makes you happy. only you kno what you want at your wedding.

Just go to the Justice of the peace and get married. Then have a little brunch with the 10-15 people to celebrate your union.
