Islamicity.com is a good place to start with..On the homepage, there's a sidebar on the left with lots of links--click on the Link called "UNDERSTANDING ISLAM"...That will answer basic questions......Also, please know that all Muslims are not Middle Eastern, and the majority of Muslims consist of Asian people, Africans, Europeans, and now Latinos are becoming Muslims.
Islam is a beautiful PEACEFUL religion. Please don't confuse Middle Easterners old tribal customs you see in the media, with Islam.
