Yes.
Google Answers ( http://answers.google.com/answers/ ) has the same sort of set up. However, you have to pay (real $) to ask a question. The answers tend to be of higher quality because paid researchers are answering them. Fellow readers may provide additional answers at no cost.
Answerology ( http://www.answerology.com/ ) is similar to Yahoo Answers but doesn't seem to have as many users and isn't set up so well.
Wondir ( http://www.wondir.com/wondir/jsp/index.jsp ) also uses the same type of Q/A format Yahoo has.
There are also sites where a particular group of people answer user-submitted questions. Examples include the U.S Library of Congress Ask a Librarian site ( http://www.loc.gov/rr/askalib/ ), AskPhilosophers ( http://www.amherst.edu/askphilosophers/ ), Ask a Geologist ( http://walrus.wr.usgs.gov/docs/ask-a-ge.html ), and Ask Dr. Universe ( http://www.wsu.edu/DrUniverse/Contents.html ). For a huge listing of such answer sites, go to the Virtual Reference Desk: http://www.vrd.org/locator/subject.shtml.
