What we are talking about is opinions here and I don't know if there is any great answer for you but I think that Casual sex between friends eventually has two effects. I don't feel you can continue to have sex and it not involve emotional issues on one or the other partners level. That said what happens when the emotional issues come up. Either you decide that you want to establish a relationship whereby you take your friendship into a different type relationship involving commitment or it will lead to a strain on the friendship. What happens is eventually you or your partner will come to feel used or that the friendship is being abused and if that is the case then you could destroy a great friendship. Sex is intimate as it is physically enjoyable. In rare cases individuals, totally on the same page with communication and expectations, can mentally accept sex as a casual physical release but more times than not eventually it mentally begans to play games on you and involves emotions on both peoples part which can lead to the forcing of a decision you might not be willing to make. I think occasional sex would be easier to handle as with casual sex I tend to think that the frequency is greater and yes I think emotional ties will happen in time.

I believe so. Some people simply treat some merely sexual objects, and there's no emotional ties when this happens. Also, I think it's an immoral thing to have casual sex between friends.

I suppose it is possible. I mean I do believe that you can like someone as a friend and not want to commit to this person as anything more than a friend, BUT as it is said now a days FRIENDS with BENEFITS.

what you seem "casual" later developes to serious affairs!! Approach the subject seriously and casual can lead you to problems later!! Once done casually, they are no more your friends and come under different category....

No, it's not a good thing. First of all, it can be potentially super awkward, after the fact. Second of all, it's a great way to spread STDs.

If they are really attracted by each other, no issues. Good that they wont go to an extend or attempt for a rape.
