And how can I kick the habit? I get severe migraines if I don't have a lot of caffeine every day.

here are some long term effects

Caffeine takes about an hour to affect you (less on an empty stomach), and usually lasts 4-6 hours. Because caffeine is a stimulant, most people experience increased alertness, blood pressure, and breathing rate. These effects are mostly due to caffeine increasing your metabolic rate (though it has not been linked to weight loss). The drug is a diuretic, causing increased urination which can lead to dehydration. Caffeine makes many people feel jittery, “on edge,” and unable to sleep. Long-term use can lead to nervousness, insomnia, dehydration, stomach irritation, and fatigue.

I think you're experiencing some of the effects of caffeine addiction now.

If it's really as bad as you say, you might want to talk to a doctor.

Or you could ignore me and take the advice of the next person who answers with something you want to hear ;P

too much caffeine can e.g cause heart problems (such as heart attacts [caffeine raises your heart beat/min + bp). some people do not mind drinking a lot of coffee at all, and they wont have any trouble for their entire life, and the person having a cup a day suffers from a heart attack. so its hard to tell.
if you are concerned, contact your physician.

good luck

I kicked it by taking Excedrin Migraine pills. They have alot of caffeine in them. I had to quit cokes, tea and coffee. Now that I have kicked it, I drink decaffeinated stuff now.
