It is unfortunately only the surface and has been adopted by the West with little understanding of it's nature.

Reality is not split. Reality is not Yin/Yang. The point is the illusory nature of the idea, not it's reality.

The Tao is more about, well, if I could put it into words, it wouldn't be the tao. The Tao te Ching is best described as an artist trying to paint a bear by painting everything but the bear, so that in the gaps you can see the reality of "bearness". It is an attempt to describe that which cannot be described by describing the things that are not it.

The fact that we have so many religions is only because different people are comfortable with different ways of approaching life.

However, the spiritual truths in all religions do not and cannot differ as there can only be one set of spiritual truths.

For example, the concept of yin and yang is known also as dualism and is represented in Hinduism by Shiva and Parvathi. Adam and Eve can also be taken to represent yang and yin and not just progenitors of the human race.

Essentially the universe is full of opposites - light and dark, heat and cold, male and female, etc.

In fact, scientists have confirmed the existence of antimatter, the opposite of matter!!

A healthy and successful life is a balance of yin and yang. We should not indulge in anything to excess.

All religions are made by rulers and serve them!
There are some more or less liberal, but in the overall they are brainwashing! Initially this is fine, but eventually, religions are limiting the humans and thoughts!

I'm happy for you...but "balanced" with what? Your will...or God's will?
