The white stains are from calcium found in drinking water. Calcium accumulates on your teeth and than you have the white stains. I recommend you drink 'softer' water (water with less calcium) and that you visit your dentist, he can remove the stains easily

the white ones aren't the stains, they're the clean spots. our teeth often get discoloures by coffe and tea though. do u drink alot of coffee? p.s. don't brush too vigorously in order to get rid of stains. it removes a protective layer from the teeth

if you had them for a long time they are normally a condition called hypoplastic enamel, where the enamel of the tooth did not mature enough

if it appeared over a recent time interval then they can be acid damage to the enamel

it can also be fluorosis if you are lving in an area with high fluoride content

Ah those white stains...those are pesky clean spots.

try using a tooth brush.

I get little white marks on my fingernails, but I believe that's to do with calcium intake...

I thought it was a lack of calcium not a build up of it. But I could be wrong of course.

mineral build up, like calcium. You can see it because your teeth are exposed bones.

I dont know about adults but kids can get these after they've had measles and it stays for years.

It is to do with the amount of calcium we consume.
