So, I already asked a question about whether or not a certain guy likes me, and I need to know what the best way to go about approaching him would be. He's very shy and timid judging from both his character and from what all of his friends have told me. I've never been in the position where I am interested in someone who has yet to approach me, so I am not very adept at approaching men. How do I go about expressing to him my interest in him without making his cute little heart explode? Aww, man, he's cute. :)

In my opinion, subtle suggestion is the easiest way to break the ice. Maybe say, "Hey,_____, I am going to grab a bite to eat/coffee/movie (scary), but I really don't want to be by myself right now". If the dude is interested (and I believe he is), he will offer to keep you company. Thus, making it seem like it was his idea to go out, which in turn, gives him confidence. Group Dates are sometimes the way to go (but, it sounds like you have sort of had a few of those already),though they are harder to get to know somebody on a personal level.

the direct approach is usually the best answer. of course, if he is ridiculously shy you could try hanging out with him, talking about shared interests and stuff untill he relaxes a bit and then make your move...

no doubt everyone else will say the same thing, but just ask him out for coffee sometime. "hey we should have a coffee sometime". Given that you are usually approached, indicates you are attractive, so asuming he is single, just ask him out. He is unlikely to say no.

You just go up to him and just talk to him like anyone else, and say, you know if you were to ask me out I would say yes.
