Has anyone successfully broken in to the IT industry?? I have so far got a MCDST and am slowly working towards MCSA and all the jobs that i can find ask for atleast a bloody year or more experience.. so how the hell do you get in to it in the first place.. Any body got any helpful suggestions... anybody actually succeeded...I did one of those computer courses that you see on the TV that make it look soooo easy to get in to IT as long as you have qualifications... BUT ITS NOT.

Yes, it can be successfully done. Jobs that say they are looking for experienced people may take unexperienced people, apply for anything that catches your eye, you may get an interview that you didn't think you would have a chance at. Look for jobs that are intro level: Computer operations, helpdesk, or anything to get your foot in the door (this is why internships are helpful).

Yes!!! You are right, these certification is good for nothing....
This cannot help you to find a job which you are looking for, every one is looking for experience, if you have one then go for certification. Don't waste your time and money on this hoping that you will get job after passing them.
I have gone through such problems.....

both my brother and his friend work in IT, theyve done so for a year or two with NO experience. my brother is making about 60k, his friend is making 80k. they had great resumes, i would ask a professional to write one for you. also, they both did internships at local businesses. neither work for the business they interned at but again, it looks greaton their resumes and they could say they had some experience.

You seriously don't want to if it's that hard. Because it's so damn hard means that there are very limited spaces and every one is fighting for them. They treat you like hell because someone else will want the job.

You dont. Its ruled by us, Indians. Dont take it in a wrong way, its not our fault that we are highly educated and are satisfied by even the mere basic pay for an American.
