Do all blacks hate us? I completly understand what happened during the Civil War but why are we still dealing with it? We have been educated in it, yet we are still hated? I don't look at color, and after 9-11, I still know that not all muslims are bad...why is it not the same for blacks who were sold into slavery by their own people? Do we really need to be so seperated?

First off writing statements like "blacks who were sold into slavery by their own people” will get negative from African Americans. I know my history as well as the next person so doesn’t throw that in a person face to get a point across to justify racisms.
Now to the misinterpret question you wrote, most African American's have mistrust of Caucasians because of how they have been treated in the past. If you were treated differently because of your skin color repeatedly you would be on the offensive side too (even once will make you be suspense). How about working at a job for a number of years to find out you make less then half your co-workers( your more experience), get passed over for a higher job to a new worker ( guess what color), followed when you go in a store ( like your going to steal something), people refuse to do business with you ( this happen to me at a store), and I can go on with things that happens to an WHAT DID YOU SAY "black" person.

It’s not mainly the slavery that hurts or angry African Americans today its how we are treated in today’s world after everything our ancients have been through.

I know that it took another race to get us out of slavery.
No we should not be separated but you will never understand what it is to be "black", which is a shame because no matter what we as a people have been through we are still here standing strong.

And yes my chief ancients did sale "some of us", but who are the ones that raped, killed, separated families, and still continues to do the same today ( same thing only in a different version).

I think that many blacks feel hated by whites; therefore, you get the perception that blacks hate whites. I know that it's been many years since slavey and the Civil War but it hasn't been many years since Jim Crow laws (1870's - 1950's) ended. My parents (baby boomers) were raised and became adults in this system that many it legal to segregate blacks solely based on race. Through this system, whites made themselves inferior and used this system to continue to dehumanize blacks.

Since Jim Crow was abolished in the 1950's how does it affect us today? To quote a white friend, "I thought that blacks were dirty because they weren't allow to use our water fountain." Going up with this ideas and misconceptions creates whether consciously or unconsciously, negative feelings towards blacks. Yes there are some who were able to overcome prejudices but their are still pleanty more who would like to live in a white-only America.

How did Jim Crow laws affect blacks? 1) some blacks who would not accept these laws became fighters against the system (many lost their lives) 2) some blacks became defeated by the laws and gave up trying for a better life (they became the poor among us). 3) some blacks lived with the laws but never forgot how poorly they were treated by whites.

The blacks who lived with this laws and the whites that benefited from these laws, raised many children and grandchildren since. Their children were either raised to love, hate, or feel indifferent to the other race. Today, we are living in the mess created by those that came before us. Because they lived it, separation became a natural way of life.

I don't know if the bitterness between the two races will ever go away. Once blacks were freed, a whole new set of problems were created. I don't think that dwelling on the past will solve any problem but at the same time, you can't discount what many people, who are still alive today have gone through. I would love to opitmistically say that we can overcome these prejudices, but I don't know if I believe that. The most I can hope for is that each individual who is not prejudice, do what they can to spead love, by not tolerating those who are racist (of both races). It's time to move forward.

Sticking with you own kind has always been crucial to the successful evolution of all species on this planet. Hippos shooting hoops with Hyenas isn't going to do much for the Hippo population is it? I think some of this biological programming still lingers within us - why do we seek to hang out with people we have something in common with, such as sports or music? Sticking to your own group makes you feel protected and comfortable. People of different colours living side by side on such a huge scale is relatively new, and was completely messed up by our forefathers. Harmony is still a very long way away, as long as people do not recognise that regardless of skin colour we are all Hippos! I don't think all blacks hate whites and vice versa, but we have such a long way to go I can't see any prospect of getting over these and other differences in the foreseeable future.
The problem of intolerance is global - Look at the Hutus and the Tutsis or the Iraqis and the Kurds.

the overall public of the previous solutions probable come from white human beings, because they are spewing bull. If their hate is depending upon those products, then they want to structure up. they have been going by utilizing stereotypes and the previous assumptions that white human beings had (that different ethnic communities were diverse because of race and actual structure, therefore they are undesirable). White human beings say they are not savages, yet look at each and every of the civil wars and international wars that white human beings have all started. White human beings killed one yet another because of competition or jealousy. and they call us the in person-friendly words savages? Black human beings did not opt to interrupt each and absolutely everyone, yet white human beings have taken them in as slaves contained in the previous and dealt with them like dirt. For this blacks are starting to be an exquisite unfavorable effect on white human beings (it really is a extra logical reason to hate them). Mexicans had to artwork for little pay in the course of the excellent melancholy even as human beings from Oklahoma flow into the extra luxury camps. Umm. . . strong job in utilizing common sense, us of a.

It is a sad situation. Not all blacks hate whites, nor do all whites hate blacks. I think education has helped over the years. I think it happens because people want to blame their problems on someone else. And this applies to all races and religions.

I think since 9-11, Arabs are the most hated and most mistrusted people in the US.

human nature do a great role in this..a telling says:birds of a feather fall down together..this is true...i will be always attracted to my people..whatever is said about: equality..humanrights..all this ..just words..rules..may take place apparently...but deep inside every human being there is a big ME & ONLY ME..BUT SEPARATION is not a solution..this will increase the problem..cultures must be taught to respect different other cultures..which can be diffirent in race..in colour..this policy is needed to be educated to young children in schools, colleges, institutes, churches & mosks, these places may play a negative or a positive role in this case..

I realize there are prejudices both way still today, but it still never ceases to amaze me why that is. The media (as pathetic as it is) has surely shown everyone that people are people. Intelligence has no lock on any particular race and in truth, lack of intelligence has no lock either.

Not due to my experience.

But there are deep tensions between the races, some for good and historical reasons, others are totally irrational and usually motivated by greed and political ambitions.
