Attractive words and pictures, depending on what kind of magazine.
For example Entertainment magazines, it would be attractive to put the latest gossip or scandals plus pictures as proof would be good!

That alone signifies what we are to expect out of it. Like, Kind of Magazine, Type of Magazine, What to expect in it, Worthy or Useless, Fly swatter or Paperweight, Toilet read or Coffee table item, etc etc etc..
