Lonliness is miserable, but it's better than having your heart broken repeatedly.

You are very wrong. There are many pure friendships in this world - but they take a lot of work to develop, and some people just don't have the time, nor patience.

It is not good to be lonely - to be a loner - it won't make you happy if you prefer to be with people. Besides, some people can still take advantage of you even if you are a loner.
What you should do is to seek out those who would not take advantage of you - it may be a long, difficult search, but there truly are good and honest people out there.

Just like many frogs are kissed before the true prince or princess is found, one has to deal with many people before true, honest friends are found - but truly, the search is worth it.

Don't give up too easily and your search will one day be rewarded.

no, i've ever thought that way before. But loneliness isn't good at all. I finally found someone I can regard as a real friends, someone who stays beside u in ur ups and downs. And since that day, i never thinks that there's no pure friendship in this world. It just depends on what you're thinking, May be there's day when we think no one cares for us. But, you'll find out although you're friends are not around, we are always in their heart. And they pray for our best.

It is not sure that who is true and who is pure but it don't mean that you start to be lonely. This world is made of selfishness. This world cann't survive without selfishness. Think if there are only good and love. Then, there is no meaning of life. This life is full of difficulty. But it dosen't mean we should go to black room and hide ourselves. Even in your heart selfishness is there. That's why nobody in this world have selfishlessness. So, we should be in group which give the sign of original human beings.

your looking into it to deep...

if you want to put your trust in someone or have someone who doesn't want something from you, join the Army, get deployed to Iraq or Afghan, I promise you will get to see what trust is...

Not everyone wants something for you out of a friendship. If it seems like that you need to find a new group of friends!

Occassionally you meet friends who don't want to take advantage of you, but i agree most people do.
Maybe its better to think of them as mutual relationships, where you do things for them and then they do things for you in return - they might need you and take advantage of you but then when you need them hopefully they'll return the favour
