My brother and I want to screen some "classic" baseball theme movies for his young nephew and we're not in agreement on which ones to show. What do you say? Just 3 or 4 tops, please.

I liked "Pride of the Yankees," which is about Lou Gehrig and stars Gary Cooper.

Also, "It Happens Every Spring," which is a funny story about a professor who invents a substance that repels objects from wood. He uses it to become a great pitcher. Stars Ray Milland.

"Eight Men Out" is a really good film about the Black Sox scandal in the 1919 World Series. It's well acted and historically accurate.

"The Natural" and "Field of Dreams" are both great baseball films too.

One to avoid like the plague is "The Babe Ruth Story," with William Bendix as the Babe. It's unbelievably bad.
