You are the mom and this is a non issue. In the end It all works for the better. If she isnt getting cleaned properly then she could get an infection or something. My daughter still hates getting her hair washed but I dont care wether she likes it or not it still needs to be done. I mean if we let our kids choose when and if they had a bath, we would have a lot of smelly crusty kids running around. Just do it and get it done and over with as fast as possible. I mean if she got sores or something and you knoew it was because you didnt clean her properly because of fighting, you would feel awful. At least if you do it even though she might fight and scream you know you are doing the right thing.

In my opinion, she's just going to loose the fight as you clean her. Try to make preparations so you have everything set up before she even sees the bath stuff. Have you tried giving her a cup to play with while she bathes? Hold her little hands or sing a song while you scrub...especially the discolored spots. Also, run a bath and sit her on your lap - you can wear a swim suit or tight fitting tank and shorts so you can hold her better without either of you slipping. It's just gonna have to be 5 minutes out of her day that she fusses and squirms. ALSO take her to Target, Walmart or Toys R Us and let her pick out a bathtime toy she only gets or sees at bathtime. Trust me. An 11 month old CAN communicate what she wants in a store. Be persistent and consistent and you'll both enjoy the time better.

I make bath time, fun time...I get in the bath with my daughter and put toys and bubbles in the bath. She doesn't really enjoy getting washed but at the end of the day if I don't clean her who will. We don't have the bath too full, I have learnt that she baths better if she can sit at the bottom of the bath, she has her back to me so she can play with the toys, when she is playing I just wash the back and front of her neck and ears...she/he will have to get used to being washed as you have to do it forever and you don't want a smelly baby. Good luck and I hope your bath times get easier.

You are her mommy and she needs to learn that baths are mandatory and she needs to take them, no matter how she acts. Until you can master that, use washcloths. However, I would suggest you make her take a bath even if shes naughty. Get in the bath with her at first and she might like to take one. Its okay to share a bath with your child. Get her some bath toys too. Kids love that usually. Try to play some soothing music while she takes a bath.

Make bath time fun, like you with her, lots of bubble, they have soap that makes colored bubbles. Or try taking a shower. My son hates baths, but he loves to take a shower with me and he is calm the whole time I wash him. Kids aren't naughty that young, she's just trying to tell you that she doesn't like what you are doing. Maybe her skin is sensitive and it hurts her, so the way she expresses her frustration is in a uncontrolled behavior.
Hope things get better for you.

I get right in the tub with my daughter and if she starts acting up her daddy comes in and blows bubbles for her. She also gets happy if she can look at herself in the mirror while bathing. The skin color changes you're describing could also be from her diet. If she eats a lot of orange/yellow veggies her skin can be a little tinted from it. It's not harmful but if you're concerned you should take her to a doctor.

Its not uncommon for kids at that age to hate being bathed, try turning bathtime into a bit of a game for her get some squirty toys and gently squirt it over her neck and tummy she may even laugh. If not try putting her in a shower with you and wash her that way.

Get into the tub with her. You have to get her clean - you don't want her to get sick! Run the water as high as you can in the tub and use LOTS of baby bath so that she's getting cleaned in the tub with the soap. Good luck!
