I asked this question before. And got a mainly positive response. However when beckham was not playing the job was given to John Terry or Neville (last night). Do you think that Gerrard should be the new full time captain?
By the way, do you think that Beckham took his decision because he knew he was going to lose the job anyway? And that this was the least embaressing of the two options?

He may not have proved he is a great player yesterday but just think back to the European cup and FA cup finals.

Yes i would love to see Gerrard as captain he is the most insirational english player we have and gives his all every match, Scores big goals when he are in trouble and fights for every ball. In one game as captain for L.F.C he would play right back,left back centre mid and striker and be best in all positions(only covering). Beckham has lost his fight he does work hard but gerrard is the boy (Best english player)forget Rooney he is quality but Gerrard has done three times more than him in any competition! F.A cup, Premiship(more goals this season and he defends) champions league and the world cup!)
John jerry is also a good shout but Gerraard steals it for me!

I think Gerrard is a very good player but I'm hoping Beckham doesn't quit in FIFA 2010 because he's my favourite player. And if Beckham ever leaves the team Neville should be captain.

He has the passion at Liverpool and is easily the best there but John Terry and Gary Neville are much better - assuming that Beckham does'nt want the job anymore.

ye i think gerrard should be captain he played his heart out yesterday and always does were as beckham was crap again beckham never plays a full game ok last game he got a goal from a free kick but i think this world cup he was crap big it up for gerrard

absolutely NO, the one who can take beckham's place is Terry. he can control himself and manage the team, but gerrard, he's unprediction sometimes good and sometimes bad, we need person with great character, Terry you are the next captain of three lions

to do what beckham did you have to have guts bless him!! never liked him but after that press conference he gave he was gutted and dont say he wasnt, as for Gerrard i think he is a great player but didnt prove it yesterday did he ,
